Hi friends ! We start the year with our first podcast by norwegian producer Erik Mowinckel.

Erik is an electronic music producer and photographer. His past releases include the self released "Grains EP" and "Post", as well as "Terrace Dweller" which was released on Breton Cassette and "0530" which was released on Sellout Music. He has also collaborated with Pernille Meidell, founder of @bretoncassette, as the duo Dachs. His music varies in style and expression though it is usually focused on atmosphere and soundscapes, sometimes accompanied by rhythms and field recordings.

"Arriving into Temple, already dipped into the most sacred silence and the most daring sounds, not seeing but feeling the familiar faces and expert listeners was somehow intimidating, but also encouraging and exciting. I had prepared a hybrid live set, djing several recordings and reviewed old tracks i compiled through the year, on preparation of another live set for Mostra, and a sp404+FX full of sounds, sampled movies, sequences and patterns to fill the gaps and refill the most dance-oriented moments of the set so there could be a little more entropy and fun.

The idea was the "interruptus' vibe where full dances would be difficult but the movement and weird hand twists would arrive through extra filterings, complex pseudo beats and dub passages of the set.

The sound and gear at Espacio Perpendicular are also intimidating for those of us not used to such definition, so the experience was even more brilliant. Doing lo-fi processes into a hi-fi system is such bless.
