Kincaid (@kincaidofficial) lands on Redstone Press (@redstone-press) with an expansive four-tracker. Having recently relocated to Berlin, Joe’s first work since moving sets out his direction musically as well as geographically.

“Don’t Get No Sun” kicks off proceedings with an anxious energy that bubbles away under the surface throughout. Haunting ambience, warped vocals and staggering textures finally give way to heavy 4/4 pressure.

“On Hands” dispenses with nuance in favour of scalpel-like percussion and UK-inflected vocal snapshots, creating a fast-paced cut with just enough head-frying synth lines to keep you dizzy.

“Gutter” takes a calmer, more measured approach but with the same focus, incisive drum work and vocal chopping but aimed at those loose moments at the start and end of the night.

“Getting More Sun” closes out the EP with more intimacy and space. Ethereal synths replace vocals and club energy in this more tranquil number. Perfect for that post-club wind-down.

Grid kicks off 2025 with a new 5-track EP from London producer Blank Patrick! (@blankpatrick) The release binds together different aesthetics, with hiphop-derived sounds and vocals as the binder.

Beginning with the darkness and tension of “Cement Bonds to Marble”, the journey gradually lightens with the heavy, deafening subs of “Canine Growing Backwards”.
The BPM then picks up on the supercharged, colorful “Gun Dog”, cleverly combining softness with a muscular, sweaty ambience.
The unpredictable 4th track “Esperanto”, where house synths and grooves are mixed with infinite breaks and assertive claps, is sure to get dancefloor fans hooked, whether at night or in the early hours of the morning.
Finally, the light will definitely get the better of the darkness with the potential hit “UU EE”, which closes the EP with more lightness and second degrees.

Ce podcast est dédié à la mémoire de Fatma Hassona, journaliste et photographe palestinienne tuée par une frappe israélienne le 16 avril 2025. Le lendemain de la sélection à Cannes de "Put your soul on your hand and walk", film documentaire réalisé par Sepideh Farsi où Fatma Hassona décrit son quotidien sous les bombes à Gaza, son immeuble a été bombardé. Elle a péri aux côtés des membres de sa famille.
Pour reprendre ses mots : que sa mort soit bruyante, retentissante. Qu'elle fasse écho aux innombrables victimes civiles palestiniennes tombées sous les attaques israéliennes.
