"On the third day there was a wedding . . ." - thus begins one of my favorite Mother Mary scenes in scripture. The wedding party runs out of wine and Mary asks Jesus (her son) to perform a miracle, "There is no wine," she said to him. He initially refuses to perform the miracle, "Woman, what does this have to do with me? My time has not yet come." Mary turns away from her son's refusal and says to the servants, "Do whatever He tells you." The rest is history, isn't it? Water was turned into wine.

This is the fourth in a choral set of five short pieces illuminating words spoken by Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Set for unaccompanied, SSAA choir. This performance features a wonderful SSAA ensemble, conducted by Emily Halbert.
