I made this for a friend who sadly decided he couldn't stay in this life anymore. This was a song I remember he loved and I remember a day when he was singing it and asking people if they knew who it was by.... Apparently he had just watched Boys N the Hood and knew it from there.

I really hope you know how much you shaped my life, made things better for me and made me much of the person I am today. I'll miss you bro. I hope you can rest now. This one's for you.

This is a song about realising more and more that I don't want my life to be about the corporate ideals of power and wealth accumulation.

Their presence in the music industry that can make artists feel consistently inadequate (scant) and like their work is a waste (like rubble) if it is not palatable to what is popular and what is easy to ingest.(Musically and visually)

I am more and more convinced than ever that I want to make art that is true to how I feel and how I think, because the hope that I have found in the depths of my anger and sadness is what I believe will help people.
