Now is the time

Following the success of their pandemic themed Dub album, Antidote, Mungo’s HiFi issue two vocal cuts to one of the LP’s biggest rhythms, on their Dumbarton Rock imprint. 
The first is Good Lovin, a sweltering romantic chant by legendary Jamaican rub-a-dub deejay Lady Ann, backed with a deep and hypnotic dub.
On a fuller mix of the same backing, comes New York Boogie by Israel’s Ranking Levy, a journey through the Big Apple and its surrounds in an emotive Big Youth influenced style.
Both songs saw release on an older version of the rhythm, but have been updated with more modern production and a live band. 
Each captures the heady days of Jamaican dances in the early 80s, while sounding completely fresh.

Dub Smugglers Sound System brought the good vibrations to the Beach Stage at Outlook 2012. They opened the festival in style on the wednesday night, creating a legendary beach party that lasted well over 12 hours and drew in a crowd in excess of 5,000 ravers!
Dub Smugglers maintained a standard of sound hard to match and allowed it to flow across the beach and out onto the sea for the duration of Outlook festival 2012. They didn’t only impress the punters, but many top acts from around the world commented on the high quality of sound provided from the crew.

Expect to see the Dub Smugglers (with brand new releases just around the corner) performing on various other stages throughout Outlook 2013, playing their own brand of dub, reggae and dub step.
