Ironically named due to Scotland's often gloomy weather and their desire for warmer climates and surfier times,  The Tropicanas represent  West Lothian with their off kilter brand of chilled grooves!

The instrument swappin' Tropicanas are:  Andrew Burns(Guitar/Vocals) Ruaridh MacPherson (Drums/Guitar/Vocals) Joe Murty (Bass/Vocals) Joe White (Guitar/Drums) and Ryan MacPherson (Synth), and they have a big year planned with a string
of newly recorded tracks ready to be drip-fed out over the course of the year and a host of gigs booked across Scotland!

Extremely hands-on; writing, recording and releasing music independently, as well as creating their own artworks and videos, The Tropicanas combine inspirations from modern bedroom recorders, such as Mac DeMarco, Stevie R. Moore and Tame Impala, With Bossa Nova legends such as Jorge Ben Jor and João Gilberto: creating a
unique Lo- Fi sound.

'The Trops' have been blessed to share the stage with acts such as Neon Waltz and Peach Pit, as well as playing the Pyramid Stage at the amazing Kelburn festival.

Soul In My Pocket is an experimental project from the new producer FARRIN, not officially released anywhere other than this video. Taking inspiration from multiple genres including house, garage, techno and ambient, FARRIN set out to create a chuggy, chilled and uplifting deep house track with ambient sounds, representing his new entry into the music scene. With limited experience and knowledge, but full of ideas and energy the new producer is hopeful that the song will be well received to build his confidence and continue to experiment with music production and future releases. Onika Venus is a singer and songwriter from South Manchester in Jamaica, now based in the Forest of Dean. Introduced to live music at an early in age in her home village of Resource, she quickly learnt that music reaches people in a way that nothing else does. Ever since her first performance, her soulful voice and reggae style has been capturing the hearts of audiences across continents.

With a unique vocal style and outstanding musicianship, Onika now performs her multi-genre music across the UK with her band. Expect to hear shades of old school reggae, RnB, pop, and funk - as well as a few surprises.
 
A seasoned performer, Onika has worked with the likes of Seanie B from BBC1 Xtra, Tubby T and Miss Dynamite (under the stage name ‘Lady Posh’), and fronted the band Slyde, who were nominated best new act at the Break Beat Awards.

In 2021, Onika released her first solo album 'Everything You Are', which has been supported by BBC Upload with regular radio plays. In 2023 she is releasing her second, 'Midnight Remedy'.
