Periscope (Death Of The Cool Remix)

Born in Brazil in 1957, Luis "Osorio" P. Torres has been devoted to music without any concrete style. Since the days of 4 track recording (reel to reel), Osorio has worked in theatrical plays and soundtrack for various projects in Brazil. After arriving in America in 1985 he started to get involved in a number of different bands mainly inside of the Rock & Roll genre. Although his love and respect of the genre enhanced his understanding of music and its business traps, he grew tired of the difficulties of keeping a bunch of guys in the same room rehearsing for a common goal, which proved to be almost impossible. Around 1993 he started working with digital graphic design. The experience and the price of technological evolution allowed him to jump into the digital recording universe. Since those days his experimented with everything available, sampling, reassembling and rearranging all sorts of sounds. The goal was a very simple - deconstruction of formal sounds, "as long as I don't recognize its origin I'll try to make it musical enough to the human ear, thus making it new again.
