Working steadfastly over the last 18 months, pouring out an impressive stream of hard and melodic techno weapons, Italian trio FOLUAL are certainly making their mark on the scene.

Having released a hefty arsenal of singles on their Apogee Recordings label, including the recent Beatport chart topper ‘Simulated’, and calling upon techno titans The YellowHeads and Tiger Stripes to remix their work, the guys return with more new music on the ‘Psy Resources’ single.

Pummelling drums and acidic pulses propel the ‘Raw Mix’ of ‘Psy Resources’ to infinity and beyond, as transcendental synth lines stimulate the senses.  In the ‘Techno Mix’, gravity defying kick drums and rising melodic motifs that rush to the head all click together for a monster FOLUAL production.  As clubs and festivals begin to open up, the FOLUAL sound will ring out in a (techno) summer of love!

Terence Fixmer und Introversion remixen "Love Distortion": Terence rockt mit einem massiven Gitarrenriff und extra fetter Perkussion, während Introversion seinem Rework ein dunkleres Gefühl verleiht und ein Trance-inspiriertes Element hinzufügt, um den Hörer zu hypnotisieren und in eine andere Dimension zu versetzen. In celebration of Replug's ten year anniversary Cid Inc & Orsen present their debut collaboration alongside remixes from Nick Muir and Barry Jamieson. Founded in 2009 by Finnish artist and DJ Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc., Replug has carefully forged a path to progressive music excellence. Through releasing much of Henri's most sought after material to the genre's freshest artists, the label has continued to flourish and forever has it's finger on the pulse of the movement. Having already released his ‘Look Twice' EP in March of 2015, it was January of 2016 which saw UK born, Austria based artist Dan Baseley aka Orsen take over the label's managerial duties. A key moment in Replug's journey, as Cid Inc's tour schedule and mastering service had left him less time to focus on the label. Moving forward the duo proved to be a great team, with Replug furthering itself as a premiere destination for progressive music's most sought after talent. Now in what has been a remarkable decade long journey, it seems only appropriate that Cid Inc and Orsen unite to commemorate the occasion with the aptly titled ‘Ten'. 

From the opening bars of ‘Ten' you get an immediate sense of how strong the creative synergy is between Cid Inc and Orsen. Powerful and inviting, it's warm foundation is full of contour and character, while a buzzing tone and rugged design build tension as the narrative takes shape. Hitting early, a short break serves to introduce an astral arp, playing off the rhythmic elements and adding further cadence to already swing heavy groove. Spanning over a minute in length, it is the second and final break which provides a unique contrast of emotion and drama. As modulation reaches a feverous peak, impassioned chord changes offset the metallic wall, before getting washed away into a wave of cosmic effects as the groove drops for a thunderous finale.

Cid Inc & Orsen - Ten (Original Mix) [Replug]

Fresh from producing a blistering remix of ‘Camargue’ earlier this year, Maceo Plex returns with his first Drumcode EP in five years.

Maceo Plex hasn't dropped an original on Drumcode since 2014 when the hugely popular 'Conjure Infinity' EP was released. Despite this, he's been a significant feature at DC events over the last year. Sharing a tight relationship with Adam Beyer, the pair have laid down memorable B2B sets at Warehouse Project, Ultra Music Festival, and the Resistance opening party in Ibiza this summer, thus cementing their tight musical bond.

Produced in the early part of 2019, 'Destination Mars' marks his terrific return to Beyer's iconic label. The track is trademark Maceo, a master class in tension and release, characterized by a slick low-end bass hum that gathers steam as crunchy drum lines and breathy vocal accents combine effectively with the main vocal lead, a contribution from Josh Wink, no less. No surprise, it went down a storm when debuted at Time Warp's mammoth 25th-anniversary party in April and has been highlighting the Ellum boss' sets ever since. The ever-reliable Raxon is charged with remix duties, stripping back the track's engine to focus on a central melody, chugging bassline, and hypnotizing vocal effects. Shall Ocin's re-rub is made for misty-eyed mornings as celestial pads result in a transcendental finale to bring it home.

Paradise (MEDUZA)

'After his first EP on Infinite Depth in 2019 and his remix on ID021, Rowdy is back with his second EP. Throughout the year he has been developing his characteristic sound more and more. The result of his hard work is the 'Misconception EP', including four originals and a remix by the label's Greek friends Symmetric & Future of Matter.

The first track is called 'Concepted Evolution'. The abstract synthwork as well as the firmly constructed kick and sharp percussion are typical for Rowdy's sound. During the track these synths are slowly evolving, directed by mysterious ghost pads, which are guiding you through this evolution. 

In 'Lucid Field' the pounding kick is even more present, but still very well balanced. Around this kick a hypnotizing atmosphere is built. This atmosphere will relocate your mind to a dark, but at the same time lucid place and keeps you in this dreamy state of mind till the end of the track.

Symmetric & Future of Matter took some of the captivating background elements of 'Lucid Field' and gave their remix a more organic feeling, which is characteristic for their tracks. Everything comes together at one point, forming a very intriguing moment where the acid and main lead are going over their peak, but stay into line.

The third track, 'Elegance of Misbehaviour', is the most raw track of the EP. The heavy lower part as well as the hovering raw percs are representing the concept of misbehaviour. On the other hand, the synthwork is dreamy and elegant. Rowdy perfectly managed to find the sweet spot in between these contradicting parts, which makes this track unique and powerful.

The final track of this collection is also the title track, which is called 'Misconception'. This one also has that deep feeling, but with a hopeful touch. The combination of the deep lower part, the hopeful feeling and compelling composition, makes this track feel like a warm blanket wrapping around you, while floating into an endless distance.'

We are back on Deep Stories Records and have new music for you. The Heidelberg based producer Benni Matern has convinced us with his productions and we are happy to release his "What Is Left" EP.

The title track gently introduces into the EP and at the same time gives an impression in which direction the EP should go. A striking bass meets a lasting melody. Together, these two elements create a comforting atmosphere and make "What Is Left" an emotional prelude that makes you want more.
