The Poetry Society was founded in 1909 to promote "a more general recognition and appreciation of poetry". Since then, it has grown into one of Britain's most dynamic arts organisations, representing British poetry both nationally and internationally. Today it has more than 4000 members worldwide and publishes the leading poetry magazine, The Poetry Review.

With innovative education and commissioning programmes and a packed calendar of performances, readings and competitions, the Poetry Society champions poetry for all ages.

Black Lion Society was formed in 2014, winning the Best Rap Group at the Detroit Hip Hop Awards in 2016.
Black Lion Society’s newest release “My Bad My Baby”, which dropped October 20th 2024, is an ode to the dance floor. After years of watching Hip Hop play heavy on emotions, it was decided that it was time to bring the fun back to Hip Hop. Both Jake Diamondz and Scam playful
rhyme patterns skillfully demands energetic body movements from the ladies, knowing the men will follow. Party goers from generations will be able to relate to the groove as it is reminiscent of the 70s hit “Keep On Trucking” by Eddie Kendrick.

 Also, 30 years later, Mr. Cheeks "Light Camera Action" bought the club supporters to the dance floor again. Which brings us to the present day where those Party Boys are back to bless you...

which is now on the movie soundtrack Black Skin, along with songs by Sounds of Blackness and RL (NEXT). Black Skin is directed by Marc Cayce, it’s being released in the spring of 2024.
 
 In 2016 BLS hit the scene with their first nationwide single "Party In The Hills" moving a substantial amount of units certified their presence in the independent music market. Then again, in 2019 they provided the soundtrack to Adidas 40th anniversary for the iconic sneaker the Top Ten. The single grew legs of its own catching the ears of festival promoters and small concert venues. The song also hit the Official UK Top 40 chart. 

Even though the pandemic canceled their plans for the remainder of the year, they still were able to complete 1/4 leg of a tour with Kash doll and shows with Trina, just to name a few. Black Lion Society is currently working on a new project with a single featuring Redman.

2024 has proven to be a break out year. Black Lion Society conquered a few new territories with the providence of Canada in the forefront. Before crossing the border the Detroit born duo captivated crowds at the honor benefit for the late great Amp Fiddler (Songwriter Funk Master). Also, a stellar performance during the Annual Dilla Day Concert paying homage to the great legacy of J Dilla (World Renowned Hip Hop Producer). 

Canada became the backdrop for Black Lion Society while joining a 3 date tour presented by the canadian branch of Cash Money Records hosted by The AMAG Collective own Charles “Chuck” Husband. After shutting down each tour stop the Lions were invited back be a supporting act for Lloyd Banks (G Unit). Only to return home to be the opening act for the Nasaan, Danny Brown, and Redman and Method Man show at the legendary Aretha Franklin Amphitheater. Back and Forth to Canada with a brief stop to rock the Rappin In The Rivers Festival in Bozeman, Montana doing what they love. Rocking with some great for the remainder of the summer like T.I., 2 Chains, Brother Ali, Young Dro, Killa Priest and more put them in front of some big crowd.

Already booked for Dilla Day LA in February 2025… Let’s see what lays ahead for the party boys.

From the Southern influences of Atlanta comes TRMNDS MLDY (tremendous melody) a versatile singer and rapper.
Much of his music strikes a tone to emphasize positive vibes along with considerable doses of the sobering reality of life, what he describes as positive realness. “Being positive is not about ignoring the pain, it’s understanding that our obstacles don’t have to stop us from reaching our purpose” -He says. Critical thinking and a unique homeschooled upbringing makes challenging the normal a routine subliminal for the east Decatur native. 
 
Influenced sonically by artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Kyle, Childish Gambino, and even Lupe Fiasco TRMNDS still has a huge enjoyment for trap and R&B. He basically just goes with the flow of life and makes music to keep the ride a little interesting. From the somber tone of “Froze” to the determined vibe from “Unstoppable”, there's plenty to love. Sharper lyrics for the Emcee come out on songs like “Xtra” and energetic vibes like “No Words.” He's touched a few stages across the country, attends the AC3 Music Conference and can be seen anywhere from "Controllerise" to Georgia Tech’s WREK 91.1 FM. TRMNDS focuses heavily on building his own music label “Hit Committee” from the ground up and continuing to make great music.
