This song is about living inside a lifeless mind, lying stagnant somewhere between life and death. Wishful for one or the other, but unable to move. Purgatory.

I wrote this song after being there myself for well over a decade. Only ever living in and out of a "Whiskey Purgatory". Addiction comes in countless forms and destroys lives. I chose to take mine back and pray that anyone still struggling can do the same.

And I was pissed, I must have been six, with my hands in a fist, and I'm sick with this askin why
So I started listening to Slim Shady (that's Rock Bottom)
Him and Dr. Dre had a way that they rapped these rhymes
I put my headphones on, as I drift away and just relate a bit to these master minds
I've got a million emotions I can't define
When my heart and mind they just can't align
I smack rewind and then I go and black my mind and chill with a track that could take me back in time

It honestly really don't matter how broken and battered and scarred from the battle
There's always a thousand more bars in this ladder you gotta keep climbing up all that it has
