86. De Tre Principper -   Tips til at få ro i sindet

Leslie is joined by Jim Savage, Legislative Representative for the United Steelworkers (USW).

The two discuss how the U.S. Dept. of Veterans' Affairs has been understaffed and underfunded for decades, often proving to be a barrier to those who served getting the care they need.

However, rather than bolstering this vital lifeline, early on in the Trump administration, amid brutal cuts to a number of federal agencies, it announced that it would eliminate approximately 83,000 positions at the VA.

While this was part of a larger effort to gut the federal government in the name of efficiency, as in other areas, there was nothing targeted or strategic about these cuts.

Jim explains how the USW and their "Veterans of Steel" group is not only fighting these cuts, but working across the political aisle to promote common sense legislation to further help U.S. military veterans.

News cowboys – it was the nickname the reporters and camerapeople at Seven Network’s Los Angeles bureau jokingly gave themselves as they headed off on assignments, not knowing what to expect and often unprepared for what they found. It was a way of coping, of not taking too seriously what was often deadly serious, as they witnessed some of the worst moments in recent world history.

For 18 years Mike Amor was one of those journalists. He was on the ground during 9/11 and in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. He reported on mass shootings from Port Arthur to Sandy Hook, covered the earthquake in Haiti and the astonishing rescue of a little girl named Winnie, investigated Mexican drug cartels, came under fire in Gaza – and much more. There were good times, too – following the Olympics or Chloë McCardel’s record-breaking Cuban swim.

In this episode Gregory Dobbs chats to Mike Amor about his pathway to a career in journalism and as a foreign correspondent, the sometimes grim reality of covering some of the biggest news stories in the world, and the mental and physical toll it has taken on him, on his wife and on his son.

Breaking

Some disciples were referred to as "physicians" due to helping people. We use what God puts in place. Certain creatures excrete material to stop pain without side effects. Changes function of nervous system. Companies prefer to manage pain with side effects. Find out everything about meds you take, and eat, for that matter. Day coming meds won't be available unless we agree to medical chips. Can decrease pain med dosage in very tiny increments. There is a cancer cure. Withdrawal can also be stopped as well as PTSD. Your body can trick you. Spirits can talk to you until you give in, then leave you alone. Unnatural affections.

- All creation believes in Jesus. Believe ON Him for victory. 

-2Tim. 3:1- Last days- perilous times. Believe or know? Biblical evidence is 1 Peter 1:20. Acts 2 with prophecies fulfilled. Rev. says the time is at hand. Men are lovers of themselves and covetous. All flesh has desires. Difference is a born again Spirit. 

-Animals used to speak one language. When sin came they started eating meat and their language was cut off. 

- Demons are disembodied spirits in Earth from the unholy alliance.. Fallen are bound in Earth til judgement. 

- Hell enlarges itself as more and more die outside of Christ. Athiests are angry at Christ. People blame and have excuses. Leave a trail of death and destruction. Refusing the call. 

- 2 origins of the Spirit; one ancient. 

- Minister through your life. 

 - 1Tim 6:12 and 2Tim 4:7- fighting the good fight of faith and finishing the race. Nothing can stop you from getting back up. Expect resistance. 

- Bridle your tongue or your religion is in vain. Only bite your tongue when you have wickedness. Purge. Out of the mouth comes the abundance of the heart. Taming tongue is for what is instinctive; a reaction. Purge. Biting tongue is deceitful for what you really believe. Purge. 

-Don't take others' word in forming opinions. Social media contains lies. 

 True leader =master servant. The worthy are called. Guilt does not belong. It's a lie. 

- There are Godly people who deny the power of God. 

- Women hear things men don't. Pray and tune ears to Christ! Women, don't tune in to what you want to hear or builds ego. A man has something missing without a female. Women are life bearers. Women "feel" situations and needs. No need to call out a lie.

Post-traumatic stress disorder caused by multiple traumas physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual creates complex effects. It can disrupt memory, identity, and the perception of reality and self. It brings anxiety, nightmares, physical pain, dissociation, trust issues, deep isolation, and survival behaviors that may seem extreme. The person may feel broken, misunderstood, alone — but these are survival responses, not weakness.

Healing is a journey, but it is possible.
