시미즈 코이치(1972년생)는 일본의 음악가이자 사운드 디자이너, 프로듀서로 영화, 공연, 설치미술 전반에 걸쳐 전자음악과 사운드 디자인에 기여한 것으로 잘 알려져 있습니다. 그는 태국 영화 감독 아피찻퐁 위라세타쿨과 오랜 기간 협력해 왔으며 2007년부터 수많은 영화, 연극 제작, 컴필레이션 앨범에 사운드 디자인을 제공했습니다. 또한 시미즈는 태국에서 10년 이상 운영한 음반 레이블 SO::ON Dry FLOWER를 통해 다양한 아티스트의 작품을 발표하며 큐레이터로서도 이름을 알렸습니다.

Koichi Shimizu (b. 1972) is a Japanese musician, sound designer, and producer known for his contributions to electronic music and sound design across film, performance, and installations. He has been a long-time collaborator with Thai film director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, contributing sound design to numerous films, theater productions, and a compilation album since 2007. Shimizu also made his mark as a curator through his record label, SO::ON Dry FLOWER, which operated in Thailand for over a decade, releasing works by diverse artists.

After nearly 20 years in Bangkok, Shimizu returned to Japan in 2020 and released his solo EP, Imprint. In 2024, this EP was re-released with additional tracks on vinyl through the Norwegian label Smalltown Supersound. Currently, Shimizu is touring as the sound designer and engineer for Apichatpong’s first VR work, A Conversation with the Sun.

After 10 years of trance career and numerous achievements, YUTA switched to techno in 2015, launched Liquid Drop Groove in 2016, releasing music, podcasts, video streaming, and in 2023 started the vinyl label TGPXLDG with NESS. In addition, he has taken a wide range of approaches to maximize the label's potential, including memorable outdoor parties such as Agaitida and EDEN, the indoor festival SPECTACLE, and Bassiani Tokyo collaboration series with overseas labels. YUTA creatives LDG label showcase at VENT and other venues which is the axis of all expression, deep techno Pendulum at ENTER (formerly Contact Club), and techno/minimal mixture party Red Lightning at MITSUKI.
YUTA's main activity DJ, a resident at the well-known VENT club in Tokyo. His music style is based on techno with deep/trancy and hypnotic/dubby, sometimes with breaks and bass, sometimes tribal/acid on house, and is characterized by a psychedelic groove and cinematic flow that he creates freely. In recent years, YUTA has toured extensively Asia, and performed at Quarry Stage in Wonderfruit in Thailand, the cave festivals Equation and Retreat in Vietnam, and clubs at SAVAGE and The Observatory in Vietnam, at Zhaodai and WIGWAM in China etc. In Europe, at Gare in Porto, at aboutblank in Berlin etc, festivals such as Modem in Croatia and OZORA in Hungary. In Japan such as rural and Moment, and DJ Nobu's legendary Future Terror. And the new adventure continues in Colombia, South America.
YUTA has also provided DJ mixes for NTS Radio in UK, Monument in Norway, Illegal Alien in Mexico and more. Also making only a few tracks a year with modular master O-MA. YUTA is one of those mavericks from Tokyo to the world.

At just 18 years old, Ilay is shaping his own unique sound, blending electronic music with percussive rhythms in a way that feels deep, natural and immersive. Growing up in a family strongly connected to electronic music, he was exposed to a wide range of styles, giving him the freedom to explore and develop his own musical style.

His sets flow effortlessly between genres, bringing hypnotic percussion, deep synth textures, and evolving soundscapes together into something truly special. This live set is a perfect example of that – full of energy, depth, and emotion.

The biggest, most badass love goes out to Sam KDC who has gifted us with an absolutely astounding podcast (#064) ahead of his On the 5th Day appearance at Corsica Studios on September 1st. If you’ve been an avid collector of game-changing, quality techno and experimental over recent years then you’ll most likely know the score. Sam KDC (aka Samuel Wood) is a devoted boundary pusher within the electronic music field, producing since 2002 and making his own solid and hugely significant mark during the years that followed. Working closely alongside fellow musician ASC (James Clements), Sam KDC played a critical role in shaping the revolutionary vision of ASC’s Auxiliary label, contributing a multitude of releases along the way, helping to ensure it became the go to for deep, “outside the box” techno that it is today. He and ASC are also the pioneers behind the unique style that inspired Grey Area, a label collaboration between Samurai and Auxiliary, uniting 128 bpm with 170/85 bpm in a seamless, polyrhythmic, big impact manner.

As demonstrated herewith, Sam KDC’s mind-bending approach to techno and experimental, and the characteristics and complexities of his style - with its multiple BPMs and dynamic, shifting hearty pulse - culminate in an almighty rhythmic hurricane fuelled by a strong emotional power, sweeping you through mountainous peaks and caverns before releasing you in a breathless heap on the floor! His meticulously controlled sets, vibrating with depth and tension make it impossible to turn your attention elsewhere… and the good news is there’s plenty more where this came from when Sam is united with Corsica’s better than ever almighty sound system on September 1st. When we heard of his secret passion for Jungle we had the idea to have him play such a set for us once. You can imagine how proud and happy we were, when it happened. STAUB is a project that came to life in Berlin around 2013. It aimed to detach itself from the hype and business from techno. The idea was simply to not announce a lineup and treat everyone the same without separating headliners from the rest. This strictly equalitarian but also very familial and friendly concept allowed to give chances to newcomers on a regular basis and to build a tight-knit community.

As time passed it also became an outlet to release music staying true to these ethos. Everyone is paid the same, doesn't matter who you are, it's all about music and respect. 

It has somewhat become customary to have a record ready to celebrate its birthday. As STAUB turns seven, STAUB's fifth installment  (STAUB 5 / IRIS007) will be available at „STAUB - 7 YEAR“ Event at :// about blank.

Anja Zaube’s DJ-bio starts in 2000, when she began playing psytrance but quickly turned towards playing more and more techno. After first appearances in the left-winged underground of Berlin under the alias „Nanday“ she took a short break and had a come-back to the turntables in 2008 with her new name ANJA ZAUBE. That’s when she started playing in clubs such as Golden Gate, Cassiopeia. Lately you can listen to her sets in ://about blank for example (among others). 

After playing different genres of electronic dance music, Anja‘s sound turned darker and harder. Her interpretation of Techno is deep, bleak, but also industrial and experimental. That‘s what makes her sound unique and what finally got her several bookings in Berghain already and made her a popular DJ in the Berlin Underground Techno Scene. 

 After her first release in 2014 on the ://about blank 001, a sampler in celebration oft he club‘s jubilee, she also released her first own EP on the label HET, named Sylvan Structes EP, and is gonna release a lot more soon, starting with her own label which is gonna be launched in January 2016.
