Concrete Records is an Italian label based in Rome and has seen contributions from Voices From the Lake, Minilogue, Svreca, Tensal, Echologist aka Brendon Moeller and Cassegrain, and many more, with many releases gaining multiple represses. Concrete co-founder Maurizio Cascella stars in another appearance alongside three stellar remixes by Evigt Mörker, Giorgio Gigli and Phooka. Monument premieres Evigt Mörker's remix of the track "Disegno 7" from the release, which will be out on the 3rd of February.

Deep, trippy and hypnotic. That pretty much sums up the new Nacreous-EP by Shoal on the Dutch imprint NOWHERE. The title refers to a certain glow or color that mother-of-pearl radiates. Shoal is the alter ego of Utrecht-resident Kenny Dean Kneefel. When you have a name that sounds like a famous stuntman, you are probably prepared to take more risks.

And indeed that's exactly what this producer from the lowlands does on Nacreous. Shoal's four track EP combines hallucinant grooves with delicate sound design. Like on Bygone Drums, where ominous distant sounds from a nearby factory creep between the shadows. The same can be said of the title track, a tribalistic tune with a delicate dark undertone.

Never Endings is more uplifting, with its dubbed out basslines and crispy hi-hats. Dubtechno that reminds us of both Monolake and Fluxion. Closing track Morning Float is indeed that, a trip in a blue tank filled with warm water, where you are comforted by beautiful strings and sounds of nature.

This spring and summer we ran the LET artist development programme for FLINTA producers and vocalists, where we took a bunch of budding artists to record bangers in the studio 👀

And now Low End Therapy is back in its label form: presenting you today with LOW002 aka “Minor Details” the new EP from Bristol native, former Vietnam resident, Berlin based producer Insomniast! @insomniast-be
The EP is urgent, ominous, bass heavy, and just feels right for the dance.

“Minor Details EP” is a selection of tracks that seem like they wrote themselves. The EP name reflects the process of finishing the music, which consisted in polishing only minor details.
The EP ranges across the 130 - 145 bpm spectrum. At times it’s dark, dubbed out and trippy like “Without U”. “The Only One” is playful with a grimy bounce which lightens up the general menacing vibe of the EP. “No Filter” goes raw and fast: no BS, just full energy. “What It Takes” closes the EP by helping us land gently in groovy and sultry territories.
