We’re continuously in awe of the endless possibilities of music production, the ability to capture the very essence and energetic vibration of something, even in physical form, and portray it sonically; or capturing a fleeting moment of nature’s voice - never to sound the same again - and shaping it into a soundscape, element or rhythm enticing the listener to move or meditate, or both. Without necessarily realising it, as we listen to the final creative output, we become locked in a dialogue with the universe, spurred on by so much more than we might realise, re-living and honouring moments in time which happened to be captured and transformed. Magical stuff, if you choose to see it that way. 

Zemög (Circular Limited, From a Lost Place et al) is an artist who, through the delicate intricacies of his work (testament to his devotion for sound art and design) continuously feeds the awe we experience. Transporting us to wondrous and mystical places, his inspiration being high mountain ecosystems and indigenous cultural and musical environments, Zemög strongly resonates with the energetic realm that connects all living things, with his productions and mixes seeking to remove us from the physical and take us on a ride through blissful meditative states and mental expansion.

Lindsey Wang, the mind behind Polygonia, is a versatile musician and artist based in Munich, Germany. A long time before her electronic music journey began, she explored the realms of several acoustic instruments intensively. This skill combined with studies of various other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition, and experimentalism into the digital music language. Her sound identity is driven by a mystic, deep and organic character which is enriched with acoustic elements, built into the genres of deep techno, downtempo and ambient. 

Together with Dycide and MTRL she founded the ambient and deep techno label IO. She also co-curates the podcast channel Hadal Resonance. In addition, the artist works as an interactive sound designer at the company Impulse Audio Lab.

We’re back once again, as always feeling masses of gratitude for the music which continues to be a source of comfort, inspiration, and love!

This week we bring you podcast #152, coming at you from DJ and producer, Knay (Circular Limited, Crescent Records, Natch, KVLTO).

Our biggest love and thanks to Knay who has woven together a deep, heady and invigorating warm-up journey, the perfect trip for a warm summer evening.

Allowing ourselves to become fully immersed, the gentle rhythms and beautiful atmospheres engulfed us in a blissful haze - eyes closed, bodies moving, smiling without thought - the music taking over completely and us, putty in its hands.

Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @scopekim for its forty sixth episode of Amplify Series.

Scøpe, a Korean techno producer and DJ, runs a SCOPÁVIK podcast series that introduces mix of techno artists from all over the world. And he is holding a regular party called SCOPÁVIK in club vurt. In 2018, he started running a record label of the same name and is establishing his own world of music. Since his debut EP in 2014, he has been constantly showing his own sounds from his every releases.

His dynamic DJ sets almost push the listeners into trance by eliciting their subconscious movements with new grooves which rhythmical structures in each track organically intertwine with each other and incrementally accumulate into, and then all of a sudden lead them to a lyrical tone, thus presenting listeners with the type of joy that only techno music can deliver by creating an intersection between reason and instinct.

Born and based in Colombia, Launaea is a producer and live performer active since 2018, rapidly building his career in the Colombian scene and also founder of 'From A Lost Place' label.
His imprint has made space for an event series, collaborating with numerous artists from around the world, and he had his first European tour last year.
His productions has always been distinguished for being a constant growth of beautiful deep and ambient atmospheres blended with percussive or break rhythms, pleasant textures and a variety of soundscapes that makes us feel states of tension and calm at the same time.

He has now shown himself to be a prolific producer of deep, percussive techno by continuously releasing EP's and remixes on a variety of respected labels such as Semantica Records, Fields Records and Tresor.
