Welcome to the fifth instalment of the FMB Discord Mixtape. This month's mix is from Cashman. 

The name’s Cashman, Sean Cashman. I’m a DJ, producer, and all-around creative based in a little town just outside London. Exploring the connection between art and music is a big part of my life. I’ve always loved heading into the city for music events filled with euphoric madness, weighty basslines and raw emotion. At the same time, living away from the chaos of the city has given me space to breathe, something I believe shines through in the music I produce and share.

My appreciation for sound extends far and wide. Over the years I’ve embraced the likes of Rock, Metal, Indie, Dance, Dubstep, DnB, Pop, Progressive, House, Techno, Breaks, Minimal and more. What truly captivates me though are artists who blur those lines. Electronic music has always been fascinating to me, especially with its ability to convey emotion through synthesised sound. The idea that music can help listeners process their inner world and feel seen in a fast-moving world is beautifully comforting. That’s a sentiment I always aim to uphold in my music.

As a producer, I’ve spent over a decade refining my own sound, drawing inspiration from many artists. 2025 is the year I finally start sharing more of my own creations, so follow along and join the journey!

My love for Bicep and electronic music began around 2012 at university in Southampton, where my friend would always play Bicep & Ejeca’s ‘You’ as the sun rose after some unforgettable nights out at Junk Club. We saw Bicep play there a couple of times in those intimate settings, with a standout track from their NYE show being 808 State’s ‘Cubik’, fully setting the place alight.

Having been to most of their UK shows, watching them grow over the years has been incredible. Their sound has been a constant companion through the highs and lows of life, which is why you’ll usually find me in a Bicep tee because after all, it’s nice to keep those that mean the most close to your chest.

Recording this mix for Bicep was an absolute delight, so thank you for the platform and opportunity. Big Love!
