Innerground Records proudly welcomes Macca into the family with this two-track stepper that is a perfect blend of dark and light.

"Rise N Grind" gets the ball rolling with a minimal approach to a heavy and brooding dancefloor number. The track rolls out gently before getting to the gritty horn fanfare and accompanying basslines. Sounding like a call to arms with a staccato beat and sometimes throbbing low-ends, this is one for the rave generals to savour.

"Special Lady" is a switch of pace and has that classic, glittery Innerground sound. A sultry amen gives way to a deep and soulful bottom line that swims in the eardrums creating that warm feeling you only get from a beautifully constructed piece of liquid DnB.

PREMIERE: Recon 'Irusu' [Identity Records]

Headroom keeps the vibes going on his track “Primordial.” Crafting a solid kick drum and snare that blend perfectly for that dark snapping rhythm, it’s a track that reminds how addictive simplicity is. The constantly twisting and mutating sound of the distorted bassline find their way into the deepest recesses of the mind, exposing parts of it typically left untouched. All of these elements combine into a killer track that helps push DnB in exciting new directions.

Lastly, we are given “Get Money” by PhoroptiC – a heavyweight roller with a throbbing bassline the likes of which you’ve never heard before. It is an unrelenting masterpiece that perfectly encapsulates the anxiety of pursuing wealth, which is done by blending the consistency of a roller with the deep lurch of dark DnB. This is the exact kind of tune that is surprisingly addictive, as once heard it refuses to leave your head nor do you ever want it to.
