Taking the form of leading Swiss imprint Drum Army's most groundbreaking release thus far, the Austrian-born, Munich-hailing producer Marc Renton returns to the label after last year's debut 'Atarashii' EP, a standout effort by all accounts, maintaining a gleaming reception from fans and critics alike. Now, he's back with a bang on yet another thought-provoking, artistically stylish 6-tracker, and we're delighted to present 'Tycho' here for you in all its glory today. This is mature, sophisticated Drum & Bass at its very finest, enabling both Renton and Drum Army to reach pastures new, breezing down fresh, unexplored paths of the much-loved 174 sound. 'Tycho' is a perfect example of that unique willfulness, which spends around 2 thirds of its cosmic duration as a steady, explorative, artistic venture, before delivering some layered, meaty breakbeat-infused arrangments in the closing stages.
