Cape Town-based talent Mew Zu continues his rise with this new offering on standout South African imprint Rubricate Records, helmed by now-national talent Dopplershift. Following tasteful, well-received drops across the likes of Subplate Recordings and Saturate Records, 'Provence' represents Mew Zu's return to Rubricate after the standout 'Microdose' EP. Here, he again cements his self as a vital aspect of the thriving South African scene, which just keeps delivering on every level, be it musical, cultural or societal - it's a special place to be, and to witness. As a track, 'Provence' takes the form of an eerie, methodically-paced roller which excels in each of its perfectly curated facets, namely its instrumentation, intro, bassline and atmospheric potential, all fusing together to create a techy, minimal cut that hits explosively hard in the subs. This one is sure to rattle the cabinets.

"Yo Bro - LP" - 21 tunes to forget 2020
About two years ago we started the release series "Yo Bro" together with some of our closest artists. After countless positive feedbacks and requests for participation in this project, we decided a year ago to turn the third "Yo Bro" release into our first Various Artists LP. After a year of planning and work, this centrepiece is finally complete. The compilation features artists from eight different countries and three different continents. It was important for us to create an interesting musical and human balance for this release. The "Yo Bro - LP" stands for the diversity of the dark, deep and rolling side of contemporary Drum & Bass.

The musical contribution by @fymdnb for the "Yo Bro - LP" is a deep rolling liquid Drum & Bass project. A deep bass and crisp but soft drums are mixed with a melancholic and simply beautiful piano lead melody.

@ophobot is still a rather unknown name in the Drum & Bass scene.  But you should have his name on the radar! The german artist proves this again with his song "LA Resonators". A groovy but deep Drum & Bass roller, which fits perfectly to the contemporary Drum & Bass dancefloor.
