DIS:TURBED's newly-founded Identity Records imprint kicks off with a huge bang, bringing through 4 of the Drum & Bass scene's most exciting talents for a dark, subterranean debut EP. Here, we see a selection of upcoming powerhouses go to town on the much-loved minimal sound, namely Recon, Half Cab, Medusa and Hickupz, the latter of which we recently dropped a collaborative Premiere / Free Download with, check that via our 'Free Downloads' playlist. Back to this EP, and we're treated to a masterclass in devilish sonics from Recon, who's kicked up a storm on 'Dark Places'. Fabulously textured and warped, this is plucked straight out of the top-drawer from a producer who's sure to go on to do big things in the scene. Clicky, snappy percs meet sharp, robotic atmospherics in a hybrid of sounds that works perfectly - what an opener.
