Scientists of Sound are producers Colin Crowell (keyboards, bass, trumpet) and Craig Mercer (guitar, keys, drums, vocals).   They have become a club favorite across Canada – performing regular club and festival dates and building a loyal following across the country and beyond. Scientists of Sound’s highly anticipated debut album ELECTRIC SCISSORS hits I-tunes on June 18th.  Recorded in basement studios, on planes and trains, and in hotel rooms while touring over the past year, the album captures all of the energy of the duo’s acclaimed live show.  

For Mercer and Crowell, Electric Scissors represents a natural progression of the music they made in their former bands—The Jimmy Swift Band and Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees—both of which achieved large international followings.
