Conceived as an ecotonal space where the multiple sonic reinterpretations of the composition can converge, we are pleased to present the first compilation of EKŌ, a platform inspired by the essence of the spatial and acoustic propagation of rhythmic and experimental phenomena. Which seeks to share through this selection different ideas and creative sensibilities around experimental dancefloor. Where it is sought that, through the value of sharing in equitable and diverse ways, it is motivated to generate changing, thinking and sensitive spaces from, to and with what happens in the world and on the dance floor.

EKŌ baste together and puts in dialogue the personal universes of each creator in this compilation, also as a presentation of what EKŌ is and intends to generate, allowing us to access those meeting points that occur beyond the physical.

For this second release Soleil Rouge focuses its attention on Jonnnah, one of the key artists since the creation of the project. After a versatile first release on Worst, the artist continues his creative process in the same line. The sequence of atmospheres and landscapes on this album was conceived as a journey into the psyche, more specifically as an analysis of the depressive state and the healing process. Jonnnah recreates familiar feelings and memories and writes an abstract story to allow the listener to interpret. 

"Terra Incognita" introduces us through a phase of doubt and leads to a loss of orientation, then the feeling of anxiety is explored before arriving at "Sounds of Silence" where energies are transformed, the following landscapes allow a slow reconstruction to close this metaphorical journey with "Enter Paradise". “Poppy's Star” was co-produced with French artist Tryphème, whose work was a source of inspiration in the creation of Jonnnah's universe. The fusion of their sound results in a sentimental 80’s pop atmosphere, that is characterized by heavenly sounding delay processing as well as the melancholic voice of Trypheme. Throughout the quarantine, the artist and his father (also a musician) set up a daily artistic ritual in order to use this interlude to promote their common artistic creation, from this sharing was born the track “Young Man, Old Boy”. 
This album takes us through interludes of gritty noise, melancholic pop, avant-garde experimental music and powerful bass music. The artist treats each of these sounds with the same ethereal and melancholic layer creating a link between the atmospheres of his narrative.

This album marks the birth of the Jonnnah artistic entity, right down to the creation of a physical appearance conceived in collaboration with designer William Mora. The two artists worked together to create a series of masks that draw on intimate visuals from the history and culture of Jonnnah. The various masks were conceived as ritualistic costumes for the upcoming performances, participating in the creation of an alter ego between mysticism and chivalry.

WEȽ∝KER's 'ENHANCER' offers a high dive into the soggy hands and lands of Dujat & Beedles. Having planted their flag firmly at the forefront of modern computer music, WEȽ∝KER return with 'ENHANCER', an astonishingly dynamic display of technique and form.
This isn't sound for sound's sake; the duo's playful approach to composition ties many discrete events together to weave a warm-bath narrative. A tug at the skittering top layer reveals something so rare: there's real musicality under there, aching chords snaking through the crunchy boot-up sequence of "Gator" and underpinning the pneumatic drift of "Ohmbase".
ENHANCER's tracks unfurl with an instinctive flow, pulling/pushing in all the right places and guiding the listener through aural aqueducts. WEȽ∝KER are just truly properly at it again.

The album's artwork is the result of an all-Mancunian collaboration with sculptural artist and dead- powder virtuoso Nicola Ellis. Photographed by Glen Cutwerk and Bazz Patel, shot in the spleen of Salford's The White Hotel. Drippy, oily notes with a hint of flesh.

Exvivo is the latest album from Brussels-based electronic wizard Apulati Bien, following his 2022 LP Azone on Kraak/Promesses.
The eleven songs of Exvivo explore a more ambient and minimalist side of Apulati Bien's universe, full of organic details and charged with a venomous sensuality and melancholy whose hazy sounds sometimes recall the work of Actress, and that, together draw a mysterious territory that one does not know if it is welcoming or dangerous.

" You know, when you've pulled too hard on the lollipop all night and you're left with only two options, the almost controlled landing or the one that fractures what little consideration you have left in humanity and yourself. Welcome to the new BFDM and the abyss of sensualities it provides. The track which offers the reading line of the opus is that of Johannes Bugeleisen, musician who has scoured the Berlin nights for more than 10 years, remaining at all times and circumstances endowed with a big heart and an immense class. A hymn to languorous afterhours, which is completed by a bathmix of the same song, proposed by another important figure of the Neukölln scene: Leo Zylberberg. The latter offers us a version like a scuba dive where the soap slips out of the hands into the bathtub, always during those blue hours where nocturnal and diurnal are not yet clearly defined."
