"The follow up to 'Skadi' by Austria's Sub on Subtle Audio:

The next Subtle Audio 12", from Austria's Sub which follows on from his previous Release on the Label, 'Skadi'. Two D&B Cuts and a Downtempo Piece will feature on the Vinyl and they're extremely good indeed.

'Tensions' is a beautifully delicate piece of D&B. Sharp snares, hi-hats and drifting atmospheres are underpinned by sub-zero bass sound. Suddenly the beats thicken and become twisted and glitchy. It’s almost as if the frozen lake you were standing on is beginning to crack and give way...

'Halleluja' is on the half-speed tip and probably will not even sound like D&B to most. Choir voices are interrupted by a stepping beat and shuddering, dirty bassline, offset by a world of icey atmospherics, echoes and feedback. This is truly from another planet.

'Hydra' is something a little different for Subtle Audio clocking in at 120bpm but certainly doesn't sound like house or techno! It's a nicely mellow track with a lurching, jerky beat which is filtered and reversed but always rhythmical. Dark Rhodes keys and then a bright piano line ensure a nice variance of mood in this beautifully balanced piece."

Goldfish return with their unique style of Organic House and the release of their brand new single: Deep Of The Night Feat. Diamond Thug.

It all started with Goldfish driving home from late evening surf in their home city of Cape Town, casually listening to the radio and serendipitously stumbling across a first, and what turned out to be only - play on air of a new band called Diamond Thug.

Immediately captured by the lead singer’s languid vocal style and the band’s acoustic sounds, the duo tracked the band down on Soundcloud to find that that they too, were based in Cape Town. 
A meeting with the two acts was immediately set up at Goldfish’s studio, which turned into an electrifying jam and writing session, and so a song was born.

Floating effortlessly over hypnotic rhythmic guitars, Chantal’s silky vocal gives the track luxurious depth with Goldfish’s signature organic production style evoking images of a night alone under the stars, juxtaposed with a thumping kick and driving bassline that builds into a Summery chorus you’ll be instantly singing along to. The lyrics point to a searching for something, be it inspiration, answers, closure or hope - in a world full of questions that can be found in the deep of the night.

Between their grueling touring schedule, relocating to San Diego, recording, and surfing in all four corners of the globe, Dom and Dave have been quietly and steadily building a reputation for incendiary lives shows and hyper-catchy releases that are poised to spill them over into the mainstream consciousness.

After something of a hiatus, Manchester's Claro Intelecto is back to release his third full-length album, Reform Club, on Delsin Records in April 2012.

Throughout his career, the man known as Mark Stewart has always created lush deep house and techno soundscapes awash with dubby undercurrents. They have previously come on Boomkat's boutique label Modern Love, whilst his recent Second Blood EP marked a Delsin debut. It was his first real outing in some time, bar the odd remix for the likes of Depeche Mode, The Black Dog and Delphic, and was well received by fans of Stewart's past work, including the likes of his stripped back Warehouse Sessions 12" series.

This new album deals in all the usual moods and textures you'd expect from Claro Intelecto… it's warm and cuddly, comforting and inviting right from the first track, despite the rough edges and well defined analogue details which pervade throughout.

Building slowly but surely, it progresses through kick driven deep house, bounces along on top of stretched out synth lines and forever keeps the mind occupied, shape shifting before your very ears like something with a life all its own. There are blissed out and sun kissed moments that look to the future right at the heart of the album, but the thing slowly rebuilds to more kinetic but just as soft-edged techno peaks flashed with acid, icy hi-hats and ambient static in the ensuing tracks.

Though the whole album is dreamy and sounds deeply submersed in some foggy subterranean world, it stays dynamic and lucid with plenty of serene melodies and celestial emotions offsetting the gently churning beat tumbles below. Like all the full length works of Stewart, Reform Club makes most sense when listened to from start to finish: getting lost in its midst is surely to be one of 2012’s greatest listening pleasures.
