MC Armstrong traveled to Iraq as a freelance journalist, but kept hearing music in the desert.  He always hears music in the desert.  He is the lead singer for Viva la Muerte.  He is describing himself in the third person as instructed by the computer.  

VLM's first album, "All the Birds," was funded by a $10,000 Kickstarter campaign and received strong reviews.  Their second album, "The Eyes of Men," was also recently funded via Kickstarter.  Armstrong's fiction and non-fiction have been published by Esquire, Epiphany, The Gettysburg Review, Monkeybicycle, The Literary Review and other publications.
