Stone cold is about the mother of all drugs - Love. 
How it can alter not only your resting personality, but you're perspective on everything.
It's a consuming and confronting high that totally caters to the user. 
With that in mind, when the user becomes accustomed to the high, a plethora of conflicting thoughts (that seem to revolve around compromise) hit hard and keep you second guessing. (The paranoia kicks in)
The song goes on to accept these conflicting thoughts as a part of the experience and brushes them off.

wrote this based on a quote from a book i read a few months ago. although very cheesy, i was able to resonate with this quote. however, i realised that not all of us are bound to a 100% perfect other. maybe they do not want us. maybe we do not want them.
