Melbourne’s GMJ (Gavin Martin) and Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, a triggered recognition and magnetism for their shared perspectives and love for deep atmospheric music leading to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration. Over the next 6 years a natural synergy and seamless understanding has seen works constantly flow with remixes for Pole Folder, Juan Deminicis, Nopi, Donny Car & Zankee Gulati amongst a raft of original works on seminal labels including Balance Music, Jee productions, Proton Music, Mango Alley & onedotsixtwo. Studio success has translated into demand from a constantly growing number of respected festivals and clubs both locally and abroad, highlighted by a European Tour in 2019 with gigs for Progressive Astronaut in London and Replug Records 10 year anniversary at ADE in Amsterdam. Joining forces in 2020 with Morning After Agency saw an acceleration and springboard of growth towards headlining gigs both locally and on a global scale. The same year set the stage for the conception and constant growth of the pair's “Meanwhile Recordings” imprint, which opened to high regard throughout the industry, both as a platform for their own signature sounds, and as a home to some of the world’s finest. With support from heavyweights including Guy J, Nick Warren & Hernan Cattaneo, among others, and with many amazing artists and releases on the horizon, Meanwhile has established itself firmly as a top 10 global label in progressive house. Steve Oood Progressive Psytrance Summer 2014. Mix

Hungarian multitalented one-man sound system MODUL a.k.a. MANGO prepared this two-hour-long ascent dub set for his lace up inna Ozorian Chill Out stage this Summer.
Tune in on 28th May 2014 Wednesday 8pm CET on the Chill channel. 

He has been an active electronic musician since 1995. In 1996 was a founder member of the Minimal Headz group at Radio Tilos, where he spinned detroit techno and underground house in his weekly show called Eat da Beat. Later he started his own radio program the Totoya Club, playing downtempo and underground hip hop, and organized the first on air freestyle competitions in Hungary. He had two more own shows at Tilos Radio, the Törzsvendég playing mainly Jazz and a live act show called Városi Kosz. He made a radio program 60 Hz Drum and bass for Est Fm.
Since 1997he's been playing with Jazz (Budbudas, Skeg, Skoda) and worldmusic (Anima Sound System, Behsodrom) bands as turntablist.

He started producing his own tunes in 1998, first for Subscope Records (Protokol Droidz Kru) and for compliations (Budapest 2000, Future sound of budapest Vol 2) In 1998 He started weekly jam sessions with open mic where he met the future members of his band, the GIMMESHOT CREW. For the next ten years this band had a major influence on Hungarian hip-hop & dancehall live movement, combining live acts, turntables, MCs and classic instruments.

In 2003 he released the debut LP of singer of GIMMESHOT (Sena – First One), being the first release of Gimmishot Records, and toured with live band Dzihan & Kamien as turntablist. Also in 2002 He finished third and in the following year second best of the Hungarian DMC championship.

In 2007 he started for the Hungarian MTV the weekly live show SWUNG, and in 2008 he did his own series for them called BE MY DJ, presenting the different styles and technics of electronic music along with the biggest names of Hungarian underground.

Besides all that, he's been playing percussion instruments in the live jazz-lounge group with a pianist and a double bass player. He also beats the drums in a punk band.

Halfred is the culmination of years and years of aural exploration. Originally a drummer, the Italian born sonic warrior found his roots in drumming which led him to music production, along with a degree in electronic music production at SAE, in Milan.
His eclectic approach makes it hard to categorize his music and this is partially due to the fact that his sound breaks the often repetitive mold of psy music, seamlessly taking the forms of dub, hip- hop, drum n bass, garage, and world music and while staying true to his signature sound and focused on the micro details, he’s constantly experimenting with the squishy and granular side of psychedelic mid-tempo, drum n bass, dubstep, psybass and all things psychedelic.
During last years, he collaborated and remixed top notch artists like Desert Dwellers, Whitebear, Tribone, Zebbler Encanti Experience, Tryptich and had releases on labels such as Merkaba Music, Shanti Planti, Outtallectuals, Gravitas Recordings, Wakaan and more, as well as playing many festivals in the European scene, such as Modem, Lost Theory, Sonica, Create Culture, Wormhole Wednesdays and Final Fridays.

Welcome to the 208th Chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. A weekly released podcast that brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. This weeks set is mixed by Purl Halyk aka The Duchess of Dub!

About the Duchess:

No stranger to the world of electronic music, Duchess of Dub has been deeply rooted in the Canadian electronic music scene since the early days when it was still very much underground.

Originating from the prairies of Saskatchewan Canada, Her Grace was first inspired by the electronic music culture in the early 1990's by local promoters and DJs (Plastic Puppet Motive club and friend Deko-ze, Kevin K and Techno Tom {dj's from local radio CFCR's "New House Culture"show}).

After a personal hiatus the Duchess has returned to her love of Dub, Tech, House and Techno music and has discovered her passion for mixing the sounds she feels eternally connected to.
"There something about it I cannot get enough of!" she states.

Her debut show, was opening up for Saskatoon's "Souled Out Wednesday" of June 2013 which was a resident night promoted by local DJ and producer: Dr. J of Roots Forward Records where the show promoted local talent. This was her first gig which showcased her skill and has brought her back into the scene she has always loved.

And very successful plays in youtube with Berlin's Aixelent channel with over 100,000+ views in all videos total. Screen FM's radio Echogarden and many many more.

Many mixes later (100 in total and growing as more are created) she has received much internet acclaim for her deep dubby vibes and love for minimal dub, tech, house music genres. 

As the vibe of the room and audience wanting even more she can adapt to highten the audience even more by matching with the vibe of the fans there to dance away the night. She can keep them guessing what will be featured at shows attended by the Duchess.

OOOD (Out Of Our Depth) is a pioneering UK-based psychedelic trance band that has been at the forefront of the psytrance scene since the early 1990s. Originally formed in 1994 by Colin Bennun, Steve Callaghan, and Nigel Bradbury, the group has evolved over the years while staying true to their roots in psychedelic music.
