I’m Ian Storm, founder of STORM Music Group — but my journey started long before the first beat dropped.

I came from the light to bring light. As a child, I felt different. While other kids played games I didn’t understand, I was building, creating, and dreaming. I spent hours in my own world.

Every morning, I’d press play on Music Was My First Love by John Miles. That song didn’t just inspire me it programmed me. 

The 90s changed everything. I was born in Belgium, my grandma was dutch. It was in Belgium where the foundations of trance were first laid in dark clubs and smoky warehouses,
where pulsing basslines echoed off concrete walls
and a new sound was born.

A sound that wasn’t just heard but felt.

It was there, in the heart of Europe,
that emotion found rhythm,
and energy found form.
The birthplace of trance was not a trend —
it was a frequency.

And it called to me. Dream dance and trance swept me away. The energy, the way it could lift your soul, sync thousands of strangers, and open emotional doors you didn’t know existed I felt it deeply. And I knew: this is what I have to bring to the world.

But as with many that try to follow their hart, my sensitive part was not appreciated at that time. I was bullied from time to time and was told not to be myself. Even my greatest passion, music, was dismissed at home. My heart retreated into silence. Hiding my feelings my was my only escape at that time. 

I learned to survive defend myself and to create freedom and independency for myself. I became an engineer, I moved to Holland, built companies, I created financial freedom, not for wealth, but for the freedom to follow my true calling. Yet the mask I wore to survive the hard, defensive version of me, stayed on for years. Only by meeting the right people, those who saw and amplified my light, did I learn to drop the mask, set boundaries, and live in my real frequency.

All that resistance? It made me stronger. Because you can’t bring light without learning to protect it and how to structure things in the material world. 

And so, I built STORM combining everything I learned as a Dutch entrepreneur with the emotional depth and nostalgic energy I felt in the early Belgian trance scene. The vision was clear: to create a label that merges structure with soul, and builds something lasting from pure feeling and energy.

STORM just as a label, but as an energy.

Because for me, success was never the point.
The point was, and always will be: energy.

That’s my gift knowing when a track carries true feeling, and when it doesn’t.
Some call me a trance guy. But here’s the truth:
I’m a feeling guy.

I believe that emotional, soul-shifting energy doesn’t belong to one genre. It can live in trance, house, tech house, melodic techno, breaks anything. People are too eager to put things into boxes. What matters is intention, timing, and frequency.

That’s why I built STORM Music to be a home for that energy, no matter its form.
All STORM sub-labels have one thing in common:
The right track, at the right time, that hits the soul just right.

When music hits the right frequency at the right moment something inside you shifts.
You let go.
You rise up.
You escape.

Escape Reality Back to Infinity.

STORM DJs don’t just perform, they read the crowd and guide them on an energetic journey.
STORM parties? They’re more than events, they’re experiences. Moments when the STORM hits, and the energy takes over.

Because of everything I’ve lived through, the resistance, the loneliness, the fight for freedom, I now want to show others what’s possible. I want to teach people to believe in their own potential. To never accept limits set by others. To never believe the lie that “it can’t be done.” We are creators, we can all bring the light to humanity trought the power and energy of music. 

I was inspired by people who broke boundaries and redefined what was possible: Madonna, David Guetta, Richard Branson and the countless creators who shaped the soundtrack of my life. They showed me that you don’t have to fit in to lead. That creation is the ultimate rebellion. And now, through STORM, I aim to pass that energy on.

Biography:


Rayco Santos, DJ, label owner and producer. Renowned for his storytelling sets and his carefully selected, elegant sound, Rayco never fails to submerse his listeners in a beautifully progressive, deep-house trance.


Built on years of experience and respected for staying true to his sound, with over 1 million plays on Soundcloud, Rayco has oficially managed to create a musical-realm of his own. Rayco’s sessions are filled with exquisite melodies and harmonising vocals, equally suited to night time as they are for sunrise or sunset sets.


Since the early 90’s, Rayco has divided his time behind the decks and recording in the studio. In November 2011 Rayco released his first podcast, Ready To Be Chilled, a podcast globally renowned for its relaxing take on the classic dance floor scene, a fusion of Deep-house, Downtempo and Nu Disco. 


Over time the popularity of the podcast on social networks skyrocketed and it wasn’t long before national and international radio stations began streaming RTBC on a weekly basis. 


Following the success of his podcast, in 2013 Rayco ceased the opportunity to become co-owner of Be Adult Music (previously Adult Music) and it’s been non-stop for the label ever since, signing various artists and soaring to the top of the charts on many digital stores such as Traxsource, ITunes and Beatport. 


Travelling on a regular basis to headline events around the world in; Egypt, Belgium, Tunisia, Barcelona, Austria, Formentera, Mallorca, Marbella, Tenerife and Italy, Ibiza is where is where Rayco has found his summer base and weekly residencies in many Ibicencan hotspots.

General Bounce is West Yorkshire based DJ and producer Dave Gray, who has become a prominent figure in UK clubland playing hard dance, bounce and house.

Obsessed with dance music from an early age, Dave has been an active club DJ ever since he turned 18 in 2001, starting on the local club & bar circuit playing everything from house and speed garage to trance and hard dance, before finally settling into the hard dance scene in 2005 with a residency for Shock in Wakefield. He quickly became known for his widely-influenced and versatile DJ sets, combining as many elements as possible from the genres he loves. When Shock ended in 2007 Dave began making regular appearances on the Northern bounce scene, and over the next 4 years Dave was privileged to play at venues such as Wigan Pier and Doncaster Warehouse. Hard dance remained a passion of his during this time, and in 2007 he came third in the Parlez Vous DJ Competition.

Things came to a head in 2010 when he was picked up by the Cheeky Tracks brand as a resident DJ and producer. Dave held a residency in the Cheeky Tracks room at Rave On in Leeds for the next 2 years, and since then he has become a regular face behind the decks at hard dance and bounce events nationwide, performing at prestigious events and venues including the Tidy Weekender, BTID, Frantic, Storm, Rejuvenation and many more.

Since taking his first steps as a producer in 2006, Dave has had several solo and collaborative releases, collaborating with both established producers and new artists on the scene, co-producing some of his collaborators' first big hits and even being played on BBC Radio 1. To date Dave has produced over 50 tracks which been supported by some of the biggest names in hard dance, such as Hannah Laing, Kutski, BK, Rob Tissera, Technikal, Andy Whitby, Anne Savage, Amber D and Lisa Pin Up. His collaboration with fellow hard house producer Rick James “Ibuleve” was featured on Hannah Laing's exclusive DJ mix for Spotify in 2022, and his last solo release “House Trafficking” topped the Toolbox Digital Shop store chart for over a week. He has also collaborated on a UK hard trance track with his idol Rob Tissera, called “Get Up Stand Up”.

Dave is an ardent believer in playing all genres of dance music, exposing his audience to new sounds and making his sets as varied as possible. Through doing this he has developed a trademark sound of vocal, uplifting rave music that's both tough and fun. Dave's passion for all genres of music runs deep, and so does his collection. This earned him a residency at Void in Manchester's gay village - an afterhours venue where he regularly played 3 - 4 hour sets of upfront funky and vocal house, through to the lighter side of hard dance. Dave was a resident for the whole 6 years of the club’s lifetime, and played the final set there on his birthday in 2020, when Void closed its doors for good. He continues to spend most weekends DJing for various events nationwide, and since 2021 he has played annually at the Unity In The Sun festival in Corfu. He also hosts a monthly podcast showcasing his label's releases as well his versatility as a DJ. 

In 2012 Dave went from being a Cheeky Tracks artist to co-owner of the label, and took full ownership of the brand in 2015. Under his ownership, he has established the label as one of the biggest selling independent labels in the hard house scene, consistently appearing in the top 10 across several download stores. 12 Cheeky Tracks releases were rated Hard Dance Tune Of The Month in Mixmag from 2014 to its final print edition in 2020.

Over 22 years after his DJ career began, Dave is showing no sign of slowing down and continues to go from strength to strength.  Whatever path Dave's career takes, you can be sure he will continue to do play music the way he believes it should be.... happy, uplifting and stomping!

Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
