"Side stepping the darkness, Area Recordings' Be1ne heads up the first in the label's digital series with an uplifting 4 track EP. The Digital Transmission release explores the deeper more ambient side of the Dubstep palette...

Kicking things off with title track Shifting the scene is firmly set. Lush chords and swelling filters build into a dub heavy bass line and sleek percussion work out. The track evolves with smooth melodies and breakdowns making this as much a great set opener as it does closer.

"Unsettled lifts the mood with trade mark atmospherics and leads giving the listener a sense of familiarity before dropping into a beat and bass heavy 140 roller. Always moving forward the track brings in the steady half step Dubstep sound grabbing elements from from all corners of Be1ne’s sound plate. 

"Switching it up, Edit Dash Minus is a more electronic take on the 140 sound with heavy synth action and weighty drums. This is a more scifi affair embracing elements from dubstep, ambient and DnB. This is a solid curve ball which old and new followers will enjoy.

"Bonus track Internal Error is and exploration into the 170/85 half step sound of yesteryear. Following in the footsteps of the previous tracks this is once more heavy on the ambience, heavy beats and dubesque bass line.

"This is a solid EP exploring the deeper and more eclectic side to Be1ne’s
productions and a sure fire opener to this new series of Area Recordings releases."

Hi, I made this track 'cause I really liked the original song and always wanted to know how it would sound as a DnB tune. Also it was an opportunity for me to get to know Ableton Live better. Of course I want to thank both Skrux and Mona Moua for their amazing piece of art! I had so much fun watching the song take shape and character, I hope you like it! :D
