Okay ! So here it is!  the set from my recent appearance at Abundance Festival. This gathering was all about supporting our community to activate with dance, organic farming and nature time. It was an honour to be joined on stage by Christian Borrego on Djembe + Cowbells and by Nori Akagi on Taiko Drums + Djembe. The set is an eclectic one, spanning several genres at the drop of a hat. However there is a common thread found throughout, uniting the journey through bass, rhythm and key.

Not only well known Einmusika members like Arjuna Schiks, Jonas Saalbach & Tschoris, Piek, Pysh and Einmusik himself tried to draw a picture of these special moments after a cold winter and a rainy spring. I had an amazing time intuiting and weaving this set at Blessed Coast festival last weekend (Squamish, Canada - August 2015).

The nighttime was cold, but we kept warm dancing together. Prior to getting on stage, I wasn't completely sure as to what tracks would appear in this set, but within moments of starting there was a total clarity, sense of direction, and awareness of union between myself and everyone else present. The rest just flowed so organically.

I really wanted to share it for reflection and others to enjoy, so here it is. Thank you to all that were present for this set, and the festival as a whole. I had a wonderful experience.

Beyond all our identities, fears and differences, Stardust gently invites us to remember that we are ultimately made up of astral particles from ancient stars spread across the cosmos.  Improvising in his native Portuguese, Poranguí weaves the inexpressible between our terrestrial life as mother, father and child and the simple resonant truth of our celestial origin and interconnectedness with all things.

It’s been a year and 3 months since the foreigner arrived at the Land of the Samurai.

The epic sequel continues where our young hero Rai is on a quest to find his way back home and regain his memories that he once lost. Learning the way of the samurai, Rai has become highly skilled in his swordsmanship under the tutelage of Hachiro Sensei. Rai has matured but understands that there is plenty more room for growth. During this time on top of the vibrant Yama no aki, Hachiro reveals some clues in regards to how he can return home.


He explains that in order for him to go back home, he would have to face the shogun of this land in a 1-on-1 duel. That’s all he is able to share, but what Hachiro and Rai don’t know is that the shogun is also a foreigner and as to who the foreigner is, well…it happens to be Rai brother.

Curated by the production artist Medicine Fox.
Medicine Fox is Production Artist, Musician and DJ  Shane Wilson. A proud member of the Choctaw Nation, his music draws inspiration from the ancient shamanic rhythms of human culture.  As a production artist , Medicine Fox began his career as a listener and a supporter in the studio, collaborating on numerous projects, such as Tulku,  Air Ananda, Sacred Ground,the Little Wolf Band and Deciduous and released his own material on several different record labels, including NewEarth, Quantum Digits and UMR.  As a musician, instruments such as guitar, synths, flutes, and an eclectic variety of percussion shakers and drums find their way into the hands of Medicine Fox.   
From years of deep listening and research, Medicine Fox has collected an extensive palette of unique music from all over the world.  Sharing these sonic discoveries as a DJ is a passion and a joy for Medicine Fox, who can be seen at regular gatherings in Vancouver and wherever he is called to around the world, with performances in the lush forests of the great northwest at festivals like Intention, Blessed Coast and OneLove to the great outback of Australia at BurningSeed.  In 2007 Shane received a Grammy Award for his part in the album "Sacred Ground - A Tribute to Mother Earth", the album won the award for "Best Album - Native American Music Category".
