Open Records is proud to present The Forest, a stellar new single from Melbourne artist Liam Sieker with remixes by fellow Aussie wizard Doppel and Indian innovator Weird Sounding Dude.

After making his Open debut in collaboration with John Baptiste on our hit compilation Expansion Pack II, we are proud to welcome Liam Sieker back to the label for his first solo EP, this time featuring vocals by Alice Campbell.

A feature of his dynamic live set for some time, The Forest’s deep, organic and analogue sonics invoke vibes of misty sunrises and dusty sunset dancefloors in the Australian bush.

This has seen him collaborate with a number of artists and releases on some of the best progressive and melodic labels the world has to offer (The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, OneDotSixTwo, Soundteller Records and many more) his music has breached the international circuit being played across international radio waves consistently through 21/22

Open Records is a techno, house and electronica imprint based out of the sunny state of Queensland, Australia. Founded in the lush tropical paradise of Cairns in 2007 and now managed out of the bustling metropolis of Brisbane, Open has grown into a respected and prolific label with more than 70 releases from artists in all corners of the globe.

The Open sound is just that. Over the years we have released everything from deep, organic, progressive and tech house, to staunch minimal, hypnotic tribal, driving techno and abstract electronica. What has remained constant is our desire to represent the intelligent, groovy, dancefloor-oriented sound of the Australian festival and party culture, with a little help from our friends around the world, too.

Along the way we've managed to top the Beatport charts, featured in the playlists of some of the world's biggest DJs and radio shows and helped launch the career of some of Australia's most talented artists.
