The original demo version. The band sold these for $5 at shows before getting signed to Warner Bros. 

This song comes from a demo when Mr. Bungle was pretty much an X-rated funk / dance band and ruled the universe in Sonoma County, the Bay Area, and Southern California without a record deal.

My former band Chomphard with Tom Gaffey and Lance Brown had the great fortune to support them and Deli Creeps during the 'OU818' period at the The Phoenix Theater.

John Zorn changed them into something else on the first record and they've been setting the bar with every new release keeping singer Mike Patton and bassist Trevor Dunn, and guitarist Trey Spruance as the mainstays. Sad they put out so few records. One of the best cult bands.

I remember sending the band my demo (they were looking for a new drummer in BAM magazine) and they called me while attending UC Davis to come audition. I chickened out. My loss.

Zora's Domain

The second installment of Music For Keyboards is a set of 14 variations on piano. Taking inspiration from the chord progressions and melodies in the song "What's My Age Again" by Blink 182, these tracks are piano exercises looking at the song from several different abstracted angles. This volume of Music For Keyboards hopes to showcase the beauty of the original song when stripped down to just the notes.
