Experiment forcibly using new equipment all in one track. Well, this happened. It's kind of interesting I think.
I treated myself to a Twisted Electrons "Blast Beats" groovebox.. the lowest-fi glitchiest piece of cr*p equipment you can buy for not cheap. And I love it. Straight from the realms of Dystopia
Also, less prominent: some pad created with a Roland JD-08. Yummy. What an excellent little gem that.
Also in the mix: Elektron model:cycles. I am assuredly going to do a concept album or at least EP with that thing.
Vocals were recorded using a TritonAudio Fethead Transformer. That's a very neat in-line pre-amp running on phantom power.


I threw some lyrics together about things that are pretty current, and keep me busy, so here they are:

A tongue in cheek look at life and something we all must of thought about in our younger days on our journey to becoming a Rockstar that nearly but never actually happened.
Could we really cope with fame & fortune and turn into a complete and utter paranoid, drunken, drug using woe is me individual.

Special thanks to Noobly for us his hard work in writing and producing such wonderful instrumentals. It’s two years since we started the Conscience Of Kings project and we have recorded over a 100 songs together. We have been interviewed by the BBC and had airplay from many radio stations and podcasts.Released singles, Eps and an album on all major streaming services, ended up on many playlists.

This song began with Artur composing the entire skeleton, and recording it against a mechanical beat. He presented it to Josh, who immediately shared it with The Eclectic Collective. Ken first replaced the metronomic beat with a real, rocking drum sound. Josh promptly added his fretless bass to it, to complete the rhythm section. Soon after, JJ added his electric piano magic, including a short solo, to the stew. Once the rhythmic framework was laid down, Stephen got to work on the choruses, coming up with solid, melodic lines for them. Then, it was Tez's turn to light up the verses with his monster guitar. When we had it mostly completed, Artur asked JJ if he'd do an intro to it. JJ came up with the whole psychedelic intro in response. 
  When it was finished, we asked Stephen if he would mix it for us, which he did with his typical mastery and attention to detail. We all really enjoy making music with Artur, and have been fans of and collaborators with him for almost a year now. If you like the sound of this song, you would do well to go check out his page, too, as he has a bunch of gems on there. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.
