Materials used are field recordings that have been processed, filtered, and layered. This is a standalone stereo tape piece that is also a study of space and distance. 

Only listen with headphones please as there are a lot of intentional hard pans that would not render as well over loud speakers. If you have studio headphones please opt to use those for the obvious reasons.

The Time Is Contained Between These Walls (2020)

This is a piece for Finger Piano, Bass Flute, Cello, and Dry Spring. The Dry Spring is an amplified percussion instrument I made back in the 1970′s for live performance. All the sounds are made with Csound as a sample based synthesizer. Tuning is 53 tone to the octave equal divisions of octave (53-EDO). There are many sections where the pitch is shifted up by one 53-EDO step at a time, almost imperceptively.
