Every time Adam Beyer steps away from his usual hard techno and drops something more early-hours or even After Hour vibes… I’m hooked. That deep, groovy, tech house sound — it’s rare, but when it hits, it hits hard. I wish I could find more tracks like that. There’s something about it… less aggressive, more hypnotic, and still so powerful.

Currently amassing 43 years of career (at the age of 59), he embodies the pure and timeless essence of the art of DJing, defending and keeping vinyl culture alive and always reinforcing the importance of researching music beyond the obvious, because only then is it possible to tell different and exciting stories with each new performance that can last for 2 or even 12 hours.

Here is the part 3.30am-9.30am of my 9 hours set at Watergate, which has been Berlin DJ-home since 2012. This recording was my last long set in the club before it's closing. It was very emotional, i played my favorites and towards the end a lot of classics, but these last hours remain between the people who where there:) The last track i added to this recording was the closing track around noon "2000".
