Always uplifting and filled with life-affirming melodies, her take on house is all about feeling good and sharing love.

On this week's podcast, Whodat's smooth mixing style allows the glory of her selections to shine though. Despite dealing with difficult personal circumstances of her own, on top of the pandemic we've all endured, her music never fails to bring joy. We’re Going Deep is an online community created by long time record collector Paul Wise AKA Placid focussed on sharing deeper cuts in acid, electro, house, techno and electronic genres. Recently they have started their own record label to celebrate some of the stalwarts of this sound. Recorded in one take on two Technics 1210s it's primarily focussed on material from the label both released and forthcoming. The mix is expertly sequenced  touching on buoyant deep house productions and emotive electro before finishing in the blissful haze of Rekab’s “Summer Dreams”.

Swiss underground electronic music heavyweight Alessandro Crimi celebrates the release of his latest album, Sirius, by making his 10th contribution for Avenue Red. The album was released last month on London label Natural Expressions, both digitally and on a limited edition cassette tape in a beautiful silk screen printed package. It is a deep techno/electro masterpiece loaded with futuristic machine soul, uniquely crafted sound designs with pulsating, intense rhythmic energy and shimmering, haunting, ethereal melodies.

It is themed on a journey though our galaxy, as most tracks are aptly titled after a named star or constellation. Here Alessandro has taken us out even deeper into the cosmos with a 90-minute mix of dreamy electro magic created exclusively for Avenue Red. Get lost in your own space to this! As always with this guy... it's something special.

Number 7 of our OYE Podcast Series is coming from a well-known figure in the dub techno music industry. We are very happy to have him delivering a mix for us. Thanks Kenneth Christiansen

Kenneth is the owner of Echocord Records one of the most relevant dub techno labels, which has recently celebrated 20 years of activity. He is also running the Echocord sublabel Echocord Colour, and the label and project Pattern Repeat with his long-time friend Resoe. 

Since the late 1990s, Kenneth has frequently been spinning at Tresor in Berlin and other popular clubs and festivals all over Europe. His career in the genre dates back to his time spent working in record stores, running clubs and festivals in his hometown Copenhagen.
