"Somewhere around 1999/2000, DJ Sneak and I arrived in Ibiza, but our luggage, including our vinyl crates did not. We spent the next 36 hours driving back and forth from the Saint Eulalia area checking for our vinyl after every flight with our airline. This was pre-cell phone era, so communication was sparse at best. After at least 6-8 trips back and forth, they arrived on the last flight possible to have records for our gig. Robin Ordell has recorded a very special mix for us.

In a decade-long career, Robin has been playing and releasing music in different labels around the world. Growing up around funk music during his formative years in Nice, France, Robin left home early relocating to East London in 2007, where he was drawn to the burgeoning underground club scene. Influenced by the French style of the nineties, while also drawing on inspiration from deeper German minimal sounds, Robin was entrenched in the fertile East London scene during this exciting era of London’s musical history.

Operating under a variety of different monikers, Taylor Freels has produced some seriously good deep and propulsive club music over the last couple of years. Mainly focused on his Liquid Earth project now, he recently landed original material on Kalahari Oyster Cult and Butter Side Up. While Taylor is busy working on material for his new record label, touring and diving into the world of electronic engineering, we caught up to hear the latest on developments. And, much to our pleasure, he delivered the latest episode in our mix series.
