Howdy, everyone! I wasn't lying when I said I would be coming back from my long hiatus. Aftergore is a pretty big AU currently, so I thought I'd contribute some love and support for the AU. This is my 10th song cover, as well as my first ever "Toriel" track (specifically, a track that revolves around Toriel herself, not a Toriel-styled track like "His Hopes"), disregarding an unreleased "Fallen Down (Reprise)" cover. Enjoy!

"Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.

[Aftergore I] Boss Monster (10th Song Cover Special)

Here's a little track to kick the project off, nothing huge.
Taleshift was an AU made in 2016 by Kain222. We'd say it was pretty ahead of its time, considering the sprite comic made it all the way to Waterfall, which wasn't very common then for AUs like this. Honestly, it still isn't. Sure, some parts of it were very generic and other parts...haven't aged all that well...but it's still commendable for what it was, especially at the time it was made, early in the fandom. Very few tracks were ever made for it, and none of them were made for Asriel. We'd say this could also work for Twistedtale, but Twistedtale actually HAD its Undyne replacement made (before it got taken down, please come back Zero ;-;), so we decided it would be for this one instead. We haven't heard from Kain since they said they were moving houses four and a half years ago, but wherever they are, we hope they're doing okay.

Have you ever been excited to see an AU continue in some capacity, particularly in the music department, only for it to suddenly vanish or meet an untimely demise? That's where we come in.

This is a project where we make songs for AUs that have fallen by the wayside, either due to long inactivity or being completely killed off. Not only will it likely bring back some nostalgic memories of stories long forgotten, but it will also create more variations of lesser-known non-Megalo tracks. Sure, this AU had a sans., a Trousle, and a Megalo, but did it ever have a Spear of Justice? An Another Medium? A Shop? An Amalgam? You get the idea. Right now Toadie and I work on this project alone, and we're hoping to release one track every 1-2 weeks. But the more manpower we have, the more we can accomplish! So if this project sounds like something that you'd like to be a part of, shoot me a message on Discord (Slick Silver#8818) with a sample of your music and what interests you about the project to apply! The IRSE for Schreibertale. I think Toadie did an amazing job with this one.
While Aaron's sans. establishes him as the funny guitar man, this track shows off the ACTUAL instrument he's passionate about: the cello, while still having some guitar to balance it out.
The second motif is a song Aaron and I are writing together, called "Four Tears at a Time." Hopefully the true song can be released to the public someday soon, but in the meantime you'll probably hear it show up in some Quicksilver songs like this one.
