the 1st of a seasonal series streamed at Operadio Radio, Rotterdam <3 it was a sunny day on the 2nd day of spring this year. a mix to wake you and your legs up from winter sleep. lots of (drummy) house, some UK n dub influence, old and new releases.

hi 💚 from mid summer 24

2nd in line of a seasonal series at operator radio is up for listening. summerrrrr… 🌅 my interpretation of summer… = first we 1) nourish ourselves. feed our bodies with sun and water and nice food and laughs and dances. we reload. we inhale all of that. then we exhale. we 2) release. things that happen in fall, winter, spring, we wait all year to release and then explode in summer lol. its really fun but also pretty intense sometimes hahah. anyways from nourishing and releasing we become 3 things: 3) radiant. which is beautiful. enlightening. u can see it in our bodies. everyone looks glowy and more pure. 4) whimsy. an adventurous state. outward and playful, light hearted :) and then 5) serene. we eventually find and can witness peaceful states. the set reflects these 5 things. can u hear it? you might expect some cutie summer flowery summer yay set but nooooo no its quite intense hehe it follows this storyline 🦄

winter. hibernating. we are given darkness, cold, quiet resistance. howling winds. teasing rain, an outside step feels like a battle. the world is wrapped in deep gray and event the simplest - leaving our bed in the morning - feel heavier. obligations calling, bodies hesitating. illness lingering, frustrations building, all things move, just a little slower. the longing for spring and summer growing stronger. yet even in this stillness, don’t you see comfort? every sun ray a special gift. there’s warmth in soft blankets, in deep rest, in embraces of loved ones. a bit of quiet. a lot of nurturing. the gifts of slowing down, those we all need. listening to what your body needs, isn’t that the greatest gift of all? maybe this darkness. maybe this pause. is beautiful too.
