Opificio DataFlow was born from the collective's need to activate an inclusive path for the community: a further challenge to feed, through a different device, the local network formed around the collective itself. Aggregation, sharing and contact through music are the values of the project.

The broadcasting time slot will be structured gradually and progressively. The challenge entrusted to our selectors will be to maintain a high level of authenticity and loyalty to the ideology of the Opificio music project, deciding to develop different themes each month, exploring genres and sound experiences according to their individual paths and how those intersect with the community. The listener's stimulus will be triggered by the story and the sense of transport generated by the musical selection

This mix by @saccaaa was recorded in his bedroom at night.

This set ideally makes you feel into a smooth ambience, hypnotic for your ears but also able to convey a dynamic vibe. It was possible to reach by researching and mixing records that combine specific elements such as long reverberated pads, driving drums, badass and also chill/inner voices, lightly dark tones, ambient shades. A flow that starts closed, pressing, and later resolves itself into more light-hearted vibrations.

Finally, this set is the result of the DJ’s habit of spending his nights mixing, therefore, it transmits a sort of intimacy that is proper to that time and place.

Gforty x Opificio Full Vinyl Dj Set

OPIFICIO is an audiovisual collective project, based in Venice, Italy.

The collective behind it is cultivating and curating different years-long projects and partnerships, among these: a seasonal collaboration with Argo16 Club in Marghera, a Sound Bar in Rialto, an artistic residence at Vaporetto dell’Immaginario, Oasi Lido di Venezia occasional meetings and a Studio for guests and musicians in Via Vettor Pisani, Lido, where informal events and open days pop up here and there throughout the year.

With an eye for genuine longterm relationships building Opificio is challenging the venetian artistic scene in the attempt to create long lasting alternatives to what the city already offers, constantly forging connections between different actors in the lagoon ecosystem, while remaining open and accessible to external participation. 

Through this platform people from different backgrounds can engage in a variety of projects, where the role of the local art scene remains a key element.

We are mainly a sound-space where people coexist, collaborate and experience themselves.
