Nature counts the black widow spider amongst its most fascinating and dangerous anomalies. The female arachnid often devours its mate after copulation. It's both a delicate and dangerous predator. In This Moment isn't all that different from this enigmatic beast. Led by frontwoman Maria Brink, the Los Angeles hard rock outfit strikes with a seductive metallic bite on their aptly titled fifth full-length album, Black Widow.

"Black Widow is a metaphor for this innocent young girl who gets infected with life, traumas, experiences, and the balance of light and darkness," explains Maria. "She becomes this poised and powerful creature. That's the album."

"We went into this with the title Black Widow," says lead guitarist Chris Howorth. "It fits the image of Maria as this powerful heroine. If you think of the boys in the audience watching our stage show, she's like the black widow pulling them all in."

The record, the first for the band on Atlantic Records, picks up where the group's 2012 breakthrough, Blood, left off. That album saw In This Moment debut at #15 on the Billboard Top 200, their highest chart position to date, and eventually sold over 250,000 units in the U.S. alone. It also spawned the single "Blood," which rose to #9 on the Mainstream Rock and Active Rock Songs charts. A sold out headline tour, HELLPOP, followed, as well as appearances at the Uproar Festival and Rock On The Range, and jaunts with Shinedown and Papa Roach. After the whirlwind of Blood subsided, Maria and Chris retreated to Las Vegas in February 2014 to begin working on what would become Black Widow with longtime producer Kevin Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch].

The Anix is the electronic-rock project of Los Angeles composer / producer Brandon Smith. Combining his love of cinematic sci-fi, anime and comic books with synthesizers, electronic programming, alternative rock, powerful vocal hooks and anthemic choruses, The Anix creates a visionary future of art and music.

Originally founded in 2000 by brothers Brandon & Logan Smith with long time friend Chris Dinger, the group toured the Hollywood rock club circuit for several years. After writing hundreds of songs and playing countless shows, the band signed a deal in 2008 to record their first full length studio album titled Demolition City. The band then landed a deal with The Diesel Management Group and toured throughout Europe on the “Rocket Science Tour” with electronic masterminds Apoptygma Berzerk.

In 2011 The Anix signed a record deal with Cleopatra Records to record their second studio album titled Sleepwalker. In 2016, The Anix began the process of reinventing themselves, shifting away from a touring band into a studio project. After a full year of development, the group emerged with Ephemeral in March 2017 as their 2nd album on Cleopatra Records.

In 2018, The Anix completed their metamorphosis from band to solo project as front-man & songwriter Brandon Smith signed with FiXT, the artist-owned/operated independent record label of electronic-rock pioneer Klayton (Celldweller, Scandroid, Circle of Dust). Focusing on releasing regular singles throughout the year, The Anix is poised to embrace the future.

OPIUM INK is an alternative rock band from New York City consisting of lead vocalist/bassist Sarah Orloff & drummer Wilma Kaddissi along with guest guitarists. They mix rock and electronic elements to create a unique sound of their own full of grit and glam.
Their latest single Lucky 13 (The Anix Remix) was released May 17, 2022. Their singles My Champagne released January 11, 2022 and Magnetic released July 20, 2021 were both produced by LA based producer The Anix & mastered by Grammy nominated mastering engineer Mike Marsh.
To close out 2020 Opium Ink released two singles two weeks apart. The first was Can’t Breathe on November 24th and Run Away followed on December 8th, both produced by British producer Lee Groves (projects include Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode and Gwen Stefani to name a few, working alongside producer Mark “Spike” Stent in London).

Their cover of Send Me An Angel produced by Pitch Black was released on September 16, 2020. It’s a song the band has always loved. Other releases include Pretty Sick, the band’s second EP, released March 4, 2020 and their single Gasoline, released February 4, 2020.
On May 1, 2019 their single Keep You Alive was released & their hauntingly beautiful single Wait For You produced by Pitch Black was released January 9, 2019.
Their first single Porcelain Doll (Lee Groves Remix) was released August 31, 2017. Their self titled Debut EP was released February 21, 2018 and their second single Lucky 13 was released July 31, 2018. All produced by Lee Groves. Significant milestones to date include being on the cover of Sunray Magazine with a featured interview in the November 2021 issue. Their first music video Porcelain Doll directed by Sophy Holland and filmed at the legendary Pier 59 Studios in NYC was released April 2, 2018.
The band has been playing live shows throughout NYC to large crowds and in 2019 they were the support band for Wolves At The Gate. Collectively they have previously shared the stage with the Misfits, Everclear, Brand New as well as many others. Wilma played drums for the music video of the single Late by the band Altitudes and Attitude which is the side project of Frank Bello of Anthrax & David Ellefson of Megadeth. The video was released January 14, 2019.
