OPOLOPO has delivered his renowned magical touch on this remix of the slick, sultry 1978 disco masterpiece by D.C. LaRue.

The original track was a sure-fire floor filler for djs in 1978 and stamped D.C. LaRue's first collaboration with Casablanca records and the legendary disco producer, the late Bob Esty.

The track features on the platinum selling soundtrack to the movie "Thank God it's Friday", a humorous insight into the goings on of a fictional disco club in LA and features Donna Summer and a young Jeff Goldblum.

"Back Outside" is a celebration of getting back outside in the world, finally getting back into party mode, and the return of real life DJ culture to the world. Featuring Bad Colour's signature bass and synth combo & 4 to the floor drums and percussion, "Back Outside" is the perfect joint for BBQs, rooftop jams, and getting the club moving at night.
	Bad Colours is the moniker of London-born, Maryland-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Ibe Soliman. With influences of garage from both sides of the Atlantic as well as funk, post-disco, proto-house and rap samples; his debut album ‘PINK’ was released by Bastard Jazz in February 2021.
	Known for his residencies at some of New York’s top venues, Ibe has been rocking crowds as a DJ for over a decade, and has shared the decks with the likes of James Murphy, Mark Ronson, and Q-Tip. He’s performed alongside Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Pusha T, and Young Thug, to name a few. In high demand as a private party curator, he’s helped set the tone for Jeff Koons, FKA Twigs, Justin Timberlake, Travis Scott, and Usher. When Ibe’s not behind the decks, he’s in the lab, where he’s produced for Kendrick Lamar, Faith Evans, Keyshia Cole, and Rick Ross, among others.

Funny how i came across this simple but brief project from years ago! Cleaning out the external hard drive i came across this edit of the Young Disciples. One of my favorite Acid Jazz, Downtempo groups from the early 90's that i discovered via Talkin' Loud! Talkin' Loud is an amazing label that pumped out forward thinking electronic & eclectic sounds in the 90's. In the scheme of things, was the infamous Giles Peterson, "mr. world wide" to many us that check out his show from time to time.

“A-Side’ opens with the raw sound of ‘All Massive’ - you’ll hear Lay-Far’s characteristic organic sampling blended with Jungle-influenced beats and heavy stepping sub-bass. Following is A2 ‘Naive’ - more of Lay-Far’s specialty downbeat house tracks with nods to warm Brazilian music. The B-side is all about the sounds of the past - it starts with funky broken beats of “Heartfelt’ produced back in 2011 and continues with 2014 unreleased dub remix version of ‘Where Would We Be’ originally by DJ KAWASAKI feat.
