Second single from the latest album Kaleidoscope, written by MATTHIAS VOGT produced by AXEL REINEMER (Jazznova), accomponied with a great remix by the "man of the hour" OPOLOPO from Sweden and a video produced by german director CASPAR ARNHOLD.

"At first glance" introduces new [re:jazz] vocalist Mediha. its not done on purpose, but this song - written by Matthias Vogt - is dealing with a first impression, it is about being underrated at first sight. The subtle instrumental with all its fragile structures underlining this mood. Medihas voice, an upright bass, wurlitzer, drums, congas and a jazz guitar - a plain and simple instrumentation and arrangement. A beautiful melody. this is AT FIRST GLANCE.

Very happy to have Opolopo with his funk driven disco remix contribution on board for this release. A true "future" classic. Opolopo is Yoruban for "plenty", a word that best exemplifies the diversity of this production wizard’s musical voyage. Opolopo is the man of the hour with his outstanding remix for Grammy nominated vocalist Gregory Porter "1960 What" an many other remixes and collaborations for The Sunburst Band, Mario Biondi, Azymuth, Dazz Band, Mr. V, and Lanu (The Bamboos) in the last years.

The release (original title not rmx) is accomponied by a video from director Caspar Arnhold. Caspar earned money as assistant and editorial photographer during school days. He studied acting & theatre in London After several years as an actor Caspar has directed, photographed and produced numerous short and feature films, interactive projects, commercials and coporate videos since 2005. Norwich's I Travel To You imprint has released some extremely good re-edits and re-rubs over the last few years, most coming from the shadowy Comb Edits - an alias, we have been informed, of the East Anglian DJ/producer who founded the imprint. He's in terrific form on this two-track dose of 'Comb Versions'. First up is 'Don't Wait', a deliciously breezy, colourful and summer-ready spin of a disco-boogie vocal number rich in heady horns, sweet and soulful vocals, squelchy synth bass, crispy disco guitar and kaleidoscopic keyboard motifs. Over on the flip the East Anglian editor successfully plays around with a heavy disco-soul number (here titled 'Spotlight'), heading straight for peak-time dancefloors via effects-laden vocal trickery, insatiable grooves and gritty horns.

Technical beats, lush atmosphere and big reverberating synth stabs which flows perfectly into the second track, Absense. Ruff turns up the attitude with its unique percussive nature. Bobby Tank delivers a signature remix of Mindgames with his melodic and funky basslines which ends in a swinging half-time vibe. Fresh, young artist Kiri gives the same title track a serious body moving house workout.
