My remix of Hello by Martin Solveig & Dragonette is really meant to be a remix / edit for American radio. It was already a great track. I worked on some vocal layers & edits. I also added a whole new beat to make it a bit funkier, very danceable. Now it has great energy with tension & release. I really like the way it's arranged now too and I love the vocal.
This was a Beatport contest entry. I got it in really late so I think my chances are slim. I would have kept working on it if I had more time. I may still

Hello (mitch minimal mix)

DJ rehearsal set by Mitch Minimal originally recorded live turntables to tape the day of Emerald Forest 7 (?). Late 90's early 2000's. The Emerald Forest parties near Phoenix, AZ are legendary. Live DJ's in the desert organized &amp; executed by C.L. McSpadden &amp; Mitch Mills. The parties were an all night affair sometimes going to noon the next day with many genres of electronic music being played. The vibe was incredible. Friendly people, bangin' tunes, perfect April or October desert weather, beautiful landscapes &amp; starry skies. The crowd came to dance &amp; meet friends new &amp; old. Hugs all around. Sometimes an adventure to get to, people looked out for each other. If you got stuck in a creek or wash there was somebody to pull you out. The DJ's were amazing. From funky house, to high energy hard acid &amp; trance sounds, to Drum 'n Bass to perfect sunrise sets. Music was the reason to be here. An awesome time was had by all.
