Ellicam shapes her mixes through an architectural vision by seeing tracks as textures. Her palette combines percussive and atmospheric tracks in order to take her listener on a mental journey. 

This mix draws the landscape for a trip through hypnotic techno by exploring sharp and immersive tracks.

Ataraxy is a queer Brussels-based dj. Although he’s better known for his groovy/trancy tracks, Ataraxy’s collection ranges from trippy/hypnotic sounds to ghetto/breakbeat, hard house and hard dance. He puts all his emotions into his mixes and releases them as soon as he gets behind the decks. Music has become a way to release himself from his hypersensitivity. 
Ataraxy means « peace of mind ; a state of freedom from emotional disturbance and anxiety ; unconditional tranquility ». This name has great significance for him, since it’s this feeling that he’s trying to feel AND convey to the crowd.

Brussels-based Niko Hoke has been shaping his musical identity behind the decks since the age of 13. After completing his studies in physiotherapy, he chose to dedicate himself fully to DJing and music production.

Rooted in the raw energy of hardgroove, Niko’s sets are a dynamic blend of percussive drive,
hypnotic rhythms, and unexpected twists. His sound draws from the technical finesse of artists like Funk Assault and is infused with the bold spirit of the emerging hardhouse scene, which continues to influence his aesthetic and creative direction.

Currently a resident at Leuven’s Rumba nightclub, Niko is also the founder of Loft Experience, a
collective and platform pushing fresh underground sounds and community-driven events.

Studio Club_Opening Set [01/08/25]

At the peak of our longest event to date on Saturday, January 18th 2025, a NYC-based selector stepped into the booth at Masada to tell a story: a journey of tension and release, brimming with emotion and passion, a romance that lingered in our memories long after. We are beyond thrilled to mark the 100th instalment of CLOSERcast with none other than Holden Federico’s live recording of his 3-hour Masada set, to immerse ourselves into that beautiful, graceful and moving experience once more.

Philly-born, New York-based producer and DJ Holden Federico is dedicated to reimagining techno by pushing its core elements to bold new extremes. His productions carry a driving low-end energy, rich thematic layers, and dub-infused detailing, all underpinned by grit and soul. As a DJ, he weaves together diverse textures, thoughtful pacing, and a deep respect for techno’s roots, shaping a modern dancefloor experience that balances the physical with the emotional.

CLOSERcast #100 - HOLDEN FEDERICO

One night we were listening to a mix that had been freshly assembled by Fit Of Body when a particular track caught my ear, and when I asked Ryan about it he referred me to Love Letters's soundcloud page. From there I began a conversation with the artist known as Love Letters and after listening to a handful of demos it became very clear that we needed to put some of this music on a record. As such we are proud to present to you the Suburban Attractive Complex EP. 

After a little back-and-forth we arrived at a tracklist that leads off with the playful strings and chopped-vocals from a late-top-40-princess expertly arranged over serious bass and endlessly inspired rhythmic arrangements of "Who Was Driving?" Next the tone turns inward as the melancholic bass of "F+" closes out the A-side with sweeping strings and horns over a rolling rhythm of analog kicks and cleverly designed drum hits. 

Kicking back into high-gear on the flip, "Sporty Presentation" bursts out of the speakers with a robust funk and playfully-aggressive, atheltic tone that is too infectious not to notice. Rounding out the release is the epic "Digital Favoritism," whose warped chords of triumph buoy incredible feats of rhythm and melody that builds into a frenzy of ecstatic motion.

Berlin based Mannequin Records pushes out some proper Industrial/EBM bangers. Raised in Pescara on the Adriatic Coast and ow based in Frankfurt am Main Antonio Barbetta is debuting on Death of the Machines as Raw Ambassador. 

The heavy four track ep is created to burn every dancefloor with full Industrial vibes and a lot of EBM influences, giving us a small insight into his violent and rough sound. Antonio is also running the Smashing Tape record label, with releases from Violet Poison, Innsyter, DJ Loser and Delivery. TIP!!!
