Mori Ra strikes back at MM Discos with “Gaia Edits", after the successful release back in May on the label of the “portuñol” duo, Da Silva and Dj Katah welcome again Osaka’s best record collector with 4 new high quality editions. 

Staying loyal to his eclecticism, Mori Ra approaches this time a lil more to the dancefloor by doing a more hedonistic work than his previous release on “MM Discos” , an exuberant “disco-no-disco” exercise mixed with ethnic references, wicked percussion, charming marimbas and an endless of psychedelic elements. 

A record done for the soul; spiritual, mystic, highly addictive and 100% danceable. A very special release where the Japanese artist has involved his son who helped with choosing the sound source for this record.

Rudolf Abramov is a duo based in Berlin. They seem to open a door to unexpected musical encounters. It’s an almost impossible task to sum up their sound in a comprehensible way, but in their own words their music is ‘a response to a seemingly endless conflict about disgust, acceptance and love.’ Since the duo likes to invite other musicians and fellow humans to add to their pieces, this often creates another layer to their unexpected musical encounters.

“Losing Perspective” is the result of a journey that began with a week-long recording session outside the city. Back in Berlin the skeletons of the track gradually grew in flesh, experience and emotion, describing this time in a vibrant and ever-changing city; a city where the faded colours sometimes seem more appealing than the unifying glow of the new.

In order to preserve for ourselves the conflicting colours in their fantastic disharmony, we have therefore watched the pieces change rather than moving them in a particular direction. The result is a number of tracks with different facets that derive from different moods and voices, indulging in diversity.

At the end of this process, we look back at this colourful collage and connect our own very personal history with it and both resolve in harmony. When asking the cat from our studio’s courtyard for example, she said that “Losing Perspective” was about stray tomcats who have lost their old home port to a newfangled establishment wandering randomly through the days in search of songbirds, distraction and rest. And we feel like she kinda has a point there.

After a quiet period due to intenses delays in the industry, Macadam Mambo is back to present a new LP by the greek musician Yannis Veslemes.
The confirmed artist - who has previously appeared on labels such as Byrd Out, Invisble Inc., Won Ton, Optimo Music or Into The Light, under differents projects : Felizol, Steamcut, Sportex or his own name, and composed for movies OST - started to integrate Macadam Mambo on the latest compilation Danzas Electricas vol. 3, and very naturaly proposed his new album. It needs to be said what an honnor to receive such quality music. In term of composition, production and universe! It’s a land of influences and uniqueness, in which you will recognise a bit of Yello, Coil, Nick Cave or Igor Wakhevitch vibes embrassing folkloric greek melodies or cosmic pop ballads. It’s brillantly dark, obscure and lightful. A tempest of sensuality and roughness. Moozeic, a project created by Joici Borges and Manuella Wintrich in 2015 from Jaraguá Do Sul, Brazil, returns to the Mexican imprint Kyma Komplex to reveal their latest extended play, titled 'Continuum 6'. The EP features two amazing original mixes and is accompanied by four outstanding remixes by Cometran, Luca Lucena, Forest Louche & Lorran.

Moozeic is created with the aim of expressing experiences and knowledge lived by the duo through music. The exceptional introduction to this journey is 'Continuum 6'. The resounding synthesizers and percussion beat create an ancestral atmosphere that begins to elevate us to a higher state of mind, allowing us to connect with the source.

Once the connection is made, 'Pandora 9' starts with the mystical, astral synthesizers and organic elements that melt and suck you into the endless tunnel, showing us the story of our life, our memories, our moments. It's our creation that makes each one distinct and irreplaceable. Crafted from unique experiences, it becomes an unparalleled masterpiece.

Regarding the remix duties of 'Continuum 6', it starts with Cometran, offering a cut that is more chaotic and energetic, filled with electrifying sounds, a solid arp-bass line, glitchy percussions, and a booming drum. Its hypnotic and frenetic quality continues in the trance state. Next comes Luca Lucena with his version of 'Pandora 9', featuring a resonant synth pad, alarms, punchy kicks, and the eastern vocal. This evokes an atmosphere reminiscent of bygone decades with retro-futuristic and spatial touches, showcasing a versatile sound.

The final two remixes, made by Forest Louche & Lorran, are equally remarkable. The first is oriented towards the dancefloor, based on futuristic timbres, immersed in a tropical forest, with clear vocals, reverberating percussions, and blazing synths. Finally, the EP concludes with Lorran’s remix. It's playful and mysterious, resonant and hallucinating, with haunting vocals that feel like they're taking you deep inside.

As she walked her normal path home, she felt an eerie presence behind her, as if somebody was following her. She looked over her shoulder cautiously but couldn't make out any movement along the path she'd followed. Perhaps she was just being paranoid, she knew these streets well and had always felt safe on this journey. Nearing the corner of her street she began to pick up her pace, fumbling in her pocket for her keys. Before she reached the door, a heavy hand was placed firmly on her shoulder...

After stumbling across cross-continental project PALMS' first album, It's midnight in Honolulu, Love Pain Sunshine & Rain boss Bendedikt Frey decided to remix one of the duo's avant-garde post-pop cut 'Der König'. Originally released in 2008, the track is peppered with melancholia and a sense of longing, and features cryptic German-English vocals honouring the two halves of the project, Berlin's Nadja Korinth and New York's Ryan Schaefer. Frey's remix, which is set for release of LAFmusik, warps Nadja's vocals into stuttering siren-esque transmissions, which sit atop rumbling dystopian rhythms and squelching acid lines.
