Before Sunrise

Following the massive success of Omniverse, which saw support from some of the biggest names in the scene and reached the Beatport progressive house Top 10, Second Sine returns to Yomo Records with a stunning 3-track EP.

I Was There is a driving progressive gem featuring Andrej's signature sounds including heavy percussion, techy stabs, and atmospheric textures atop an irresistible groove.

Tape Wreck is even more on the techy side of the genre and immediately grabs you with its rolling bassline and cavernous synth stabs. The break with its haunting, complex harmonies allows you to take a little breather before the pounding beats drop back in again.

Within My Heart once again showcases Second Sine's immens production skills. With its lush, almost housey chords and sprinkles of reversed saxophone the track is a deeper affair, yet with enough punch to keep you going on the dancefloor.

Matthias Meyer and a trio label of debutants make up the fourth instalment of the much-loved ‘Watergate Affairs’ series.
 
Initiated in 2016, the series assembles a collection of top-quality tracks that otherwise could not fit into Watergate’s busy release schedule, such is the strong pool of music the label draws from.

Emerging Dutch producer Budakid joins the label with ‘Orrery’, after previously making an impact with cuts on Last Night On Earth, Einmusika and Lost & Found. The track’s dreamy soundscapes and otherworldly energy make for a transcendental mood maker. Matthias Meyer is suitably superb with ‘Interlude’, as delicate strings and a muffled melody line gently wash against a shore of sparse beats. Henri Bergmann & Julian Wassermann link for ‘Maenad’, as punchy grooves bring the EP into peak-time territory as a multi-layered chord pattern hits with a satisfying headrush. Danish artist Nandu rounds out the package with ‘My Mystery Is A Mystery’. It’s the kind of succulent end-of-nighter every set needs as uplifting pads, stirring keys and a buttery bassline glide together in sweet unison.

Premiere: Wolf Ear & Fassbender - Hummingbird [Strange Town Recordings]

Transensations Records welcomes the rising talent from Stockholm, EMPHI , presenting his progressive sounds with Swedish touch on the EP "Pair of Dice" , alongside great remixes from the Argentinians producers KABI (AR) and Lelio Monte. The main title brings a mysterious atmosphere, with crystallised ambiences, pads and synthesizers. KABI imprints his personal signature with a well crafted progressive roller, adding a lot of percussion. The B side "Spill the Tea" , emphasises the melodic hypnosis with uplifting synths, and Lelio Monte closes the EP delivering a powerful and atmospheric version of the track. Definitely, a quality release perfect for those who are seeking some flawless tunes for their sets.
