‘Sonification of You’ aims to make this data flow ‘visible’ to those people carrying active devices. The equipment will passively scan the various radio spectrum frequencies used by mobile phone devices, Bluetooth, WiFi networks, and others used by mobile devices, within a given place. The data information then represented by assigned audio sounds that will indicate activity, distance, and strength of signals.
Drawing on methods for monitoring large computer networks, the result is to create a background ‘sound’ for a space that is representational of the people, and their devices, present.

Spread across 3CDs and three 2LPs Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX features a mammoth 49 tracks that join the dots between early industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle, EBM legends like Nitzer Ebb and the post-punk experiments of people like Malcolm McLaren and Big Audio Dynamite with some of the most exciting artists around today, such as Boy Harsher, Nuovo Testamento and Years of Denial.

Where the first Next Wave Acid Punx compilation was a personal journey for Luca, a lockdown inspired exploration of his record collection to find the thread that ran through the music that had soundtracked much of his life, DEUX is a celebration of that music let loose on the world, the thrill of music performed live, the smoke and strobe filled clubs you'll hear it in and the artists you'll find on those stages.

Vox Low - Velvet Keats (Strapontin Remix)

This is a recording of a performance at the Olympic Swimming Pool in London on 25 November 2015 as a part of Bigga Fish Festival.

‘Music to Swim to’ is a 25 minute meditation inspired by the meditative mechanics of the swimming body as it propels itself through coordinated cycles of releasing energy into the water. Rhythms and harmonies are extracted from four machines that release energy into a space in contrasting ways: the powerful blanket radiation of a microwave, the heat released by each of a computer's microscopic transistors working together; the wild spray of a garden sprinkler and the tightly controlled chaos of an inkjet printer.

The sounds heard are generated live by algorithms I have coded in the SuperCollider programming language, which I control during the performance.

Two generations of Italian music history come together on this split 7″. Milan meets Rome, Fred Ventura meets Alessandro Adriani. For this occasion Adriani and Ventura covered the 82′ evergreen ‘Changing’ by Bill Bruce. The perfect combination to pay homage to this monumental piece of music. On the flip side Fred’s early 80’s new wave band State Of Art got the remix treatment by Alessandro’s moniker Newclear Waves. Another unique match of these two key figures preserving the 80’s underground sound of Italy.
