Is it a dream, a Jungian fantasy, a deep dive into the repressed psyche? Is it a malfunction? Or is it the one place where you can escape from the repetitive drone of the hive mind?

"Interlink: B" is the second V/A release from Unimatrix Zero, a collection of tracks from our friends across the North American dance music community and beyond. The release is accompanied by a limited edition custom fragrance available in a 10 mL roll-on, “The Mutation” – a blend of various musks, black hemlock, and bay leaf – a spicy, botanical scent with a hint of smoke and vanilla.

LDY OSC, a Bunker NY alum based in Vienna with roots in Mexico City and NYC, kicks things off with a gritty, acidic bassline gradually unfurling into percussive madness in “Untitled 303606,” a noise-tinged rave workout that’s a masterclass in restraint and tension. Philadelphia-via-NYC’s M Parent’s “Low End Loser” takes us back to the depths with his signature sharply mixed, low-slung electro, punctuated with the cheeky-yet-demented vocals we’ve all come to know and love from the artist. Alonzo, hailing from Brooklyn via Miami, continues the theme of tough, heady low-end in a rough-and-tumble electro number, “White Sheets.”

Next up is NYC’s Escaflowne, who offers a hint of melodic levity grounded in a classic techno groove with a strong sense of Midwest shuffle on “CZ Beat.” CHAINLETTER’s “Drum Bop 3” delivers on its title - a slinky percussive bop suited for a psychedelic forest frolic. Hailing from Durham, NC, they’re a welcome addition to this collection of tracks. Finally, label co-founder Guilt Attendant teams up with M Parent for their collaboration “Shake It (Philly Swing Mix),” departing from their previous dub techno excursions as Modal Form with a twisted, trippy number recorded live in Parent’s home studio in Philadelphia.

Belgium Duo Marching Machines joins Roam Recordings with a delightful EP of thoughtful electronic music that, while it can be filed under indie dance/dark disco, has a sound of its own. The title track Alfheim is an anthem born of machines that does the duo's namesake proud. Heimdal takes the mood into a darker realm with its masterful synth worth over perfectly programmed drum machines. Midgaard keeps it dark with its driving arpeggios underpinning lush pads.

The EP is backed by remixes from Younger Than Me and Mufti. Younger Than Me is up first with an uptempo rave version that brings psychedelic acid to the party. Roam alumni Mufti brings the tempo back down into a groove with a warbly bass leading to a refreshing melody to round out the EP.

EP "The Different" — is the part of the label, which included artists from different countries and cultures. There are BRAVERS residents, Russian and foreign guests, united with their love for industrial music — Antoni Maiovvi from Bristol, WLDV from Bilbao, Velax from St. Petersburg and the resident of the Moscow label BRAVERS - Anton Levdikov
The cover was created by collecting different parts of faces: portraits of listeners, artists and members of the electronic music lovers. Everybody have its own distinctive features, but at the same time related for the one large community.

PREMIERE | Oryol - The Different (Anton Levdikov Remix)

La Carpio (they/them) is a parasitologist, record collector, party thrower and DJ based in Hamburg. Born and raised in Costa Rica they are co-organizer and resident of several event series in the Hamburg queer underground scene. Their party series Nuit Blanche offers a space for queer DJs to share their music with the local community. Their monthly radio show Contra Olas in the local radio sender FSK focuses on subcultural music genres. Bound to a queer ethos their music curation and vinyl sets comprise dancy gloomy electronics from Belgian and French Cold Wave, shaped by psychedelic Acid Disco, Sonido de Valencia and New Beat, all spiked with furious EBM and Electropunk beats.

The underrepresentation of queer artists in their favorite music genres as well as the underrepresentation of their favorite genres in the queer mainstream scene inspired La Carpio to curate this only vinyl set, dedicated mostly to queer and/or female artists that composed, produced, remixed and influence the current deviant electronic music scene including various genres from Synth Wave and Proto-Techno to Dark & Italo Disco, over Acid and EBM grooves.
