Inspired by the early 80's Cold Wave and New Wave, a German trio consisting of Andreas "Andi" Koch (synthesisers, backing vocals), Joachim "Joa" Saleina (synthesisers, drum machines) and Götz Langenbruch (vocals) already started recording together in 1986, disbanded in 1989 and reformed in 2008 as EPIC DREAMS with the aim "to revive the flair and sound of the early 80s - Electronic New Wave Music". Since then they've re-recorded many of the original recordings and recorded new material which found its way already onto various compilations and two 7" single releases. Using wonderful analogue synths and drum machines such as the Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-110, Casio VL-Tone, Korg KR-55 / M-500 SP Micro-Preset / MS-10, Roland CR-68 / Jupiter-4 / SH-101, Yamaha CS-01 II, they've found their very own melancholic and romantic style. 

This CD contains material compiled by the band members themselves and differs from the upcoming 2LP version in both track selection and song versions.

CD features: 19 tracks, 77 mins, limited edition of 500 copies, 6pp DigiPac, 8pp booklet with lyrics, mastered by Martin Bowes (Attrition, The Cage Studios), artwork by Steve Lippert. Price : € 12.00

@Her-Majestys-Ship delivers another fantastic LP, this time coming from @La-Mverte aka Parisian producer Alexander Berly in ‘The Inner Out’, a 10 track album. 

Having cut his teeth playing bass in post-punk bands, Berly has recently been focussed on this solo project. It finds him mixing up Italo, New Wave, industrial sounds and his SH-101 into razor sharp and arresting productions. He first released on this label back in 2014 and DJs as well as playing keys with label associate Yan Wagner. He has also previously taken part in Red Bull’s Music Academy in Tokyo and is a regular at festivals such as Sonar and Nuits Sonores. 

This is his greatest statement yet and we are big fans of the opening track, 'Past The Circles’ which is a dark & broody piece of music filled with tense synths and corrugated drums that set a shadowy atmosphere. 

This is an impressive debut LP that really showcases La Mverte’s artistic vision.

A Compilation of Minimal Wave From Around The World (1980-1991), The Bedroom Tapes features rare, unreleased, and licensed tracks all the way from Belgium to Australia to Japan. The Bedroom Tapes excitedly marks Minimal Wave’s 66th release and is a follow up in the series to The Lost Tapes, The Found Tapes, The Hidden Tapes and of course The Minimal Wave Tapes. The twelve artists on this compilation mostly recorded their music onto 4-track tape in their bedroom studios. The sounds on this record range from German new wave to experimental electronic, to early industrial body music from the Swedish countryside, to dreary melodic minimal synth. The theme is music recorded in the bedroom for listening in the bedroom. The Bedroom Tapes presents songs from Pink Elln, Karen Marks, Disque Omo, Vorgruppe, Iham/Echo, Perfect Mother, Arvid Tuba, Subject, Denial, Unovidual, Aural indifference, and Autumn all lovingly remastered. Limited edition of 999 numbered copies, pressed on 180 gram vinyl, and housed in heavy printed jacket accompanied by printed inner jacket with artists photos and info. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that Opium is currently the most talked about club North of Berlin. Vilnius based spot has built its reputation slowly but surely to become one of the brightest lights in the night sky of Europe. The club has earned the admiration of local crowd, loyalty of visiting artists and respect of industry insiders by nurturing unique local talent, bringing cutting edge House & Techno acts on a weekly bases, building a devoted community and rocking the parties of the highest intensity and unprecedented intimacy. Its no wonder Boiler Room and Resident Advisor both came knocking on the door in 2017 for special features and events.

2018 marks another milestone in club’s incredible journey: the first ever music compilation entitled “Opium of the People”, a rock solid collection of 13 unreleased tracks by core residents and the members of extended Opium family from all around the world featuring Tel Aviv’s producer and song writer Autarkic, Australia-born-Europe-bound New Age travellers Dreems and Kris Baha, Canadian smooth operator Thomas Von Party, Frankfurt’s Musikmaschine Lauer, German-Mexican studio encounter of Sebastian Voigt & Theus Mago, Berlin based Spanish fashionista Hugo Capablanca, Detroit legend Sharif Laffrey and Russian crate digging trio of Leonid Lipelis, Sergey Krylow and Ilya Simonov under the name of Plungerbird x Beard in Dust. Most of them are coming to Lithuanian capital’s hot spot so often, they could easily start their own fan clubs in town. The local talent also gets a well-deserved attention. Manfredas, Siaubas, Pletnev, and V find their place on the compilation and bring the modern sound of Vilnius nights to the vanguard.  

“Opium of the People” has been conceived and compiled by Vidmantas “V” Cepkauskas, the head of programming and resident DJ of Opium, a well-known contributor to the electronic music scene for nearly two decades. He has reinvented a friends-to-friends after-hours place into an international music institution in a matter of six seasons and is the best candidate to curate and present “Opium of the People”.

Laurel Halo presents six instrumental pieces that form a meditative, cinematic listening experience. Inspired by recent film score work for Metahaven and Ursula Le Guin's translation of the 'Tao Te Ching'. Featuring cello work by Oliver Coates and percussion by Eli Keszler.

Working in abstraction leads to a deeper longing for touch and closeness. The tactile sensation of struck organ keys and bowed strings, wood and felt on drum heads. Smoke and dirt and stone. Febrile and tactile, hairy and hissy. A clover of highway onramps, a continuous flow, like old leaves melting on their way down a stream at the back of a house. Constant contradiction, the truth's nowhere.
