Two deep and soulful UK house aficionados, KingCrowney and Jimpster unite on The Remedy Project featuring vocals from LEGZDINA. KingCrowney is widely regarded for his work as a trumpeter, recording and touring with MOBO and Brit Award winning collective Rudimental ever since UK number one ‘Feel The Love’. As such, lively jazz influences often pervade the London producer’s smooth releases, who now teams up with Freerange Records and Delusions of Grandeur founder Jimpster; the revered UK DJ’s discography of deep house extends back to the late 90s, with his informed sets pulling in house heads ever since those seminal releases. ‘The Back’ combines the two artists propensity for the golden era of house into one, slick Remedy Project release, featuring spoken-word vocals from mother of poetry LEGZDINA – a Latvian artist whose idiosyncratic style has led to collaborations with Idris Elba, lau.ra and Bianca Oblivion on Jamz Supernova’s label Future Bounce, with an EP incoming on Three Six Zero in Spring 2024.

Toy Tonics does the Spanish proto Hip-House! New artist ALOT, living in New York but comes from Argentina. 26-year-old multi-instrumentalist, rapper, producer, writer and skater who moved to the big apple right after school, trying to "make it" in the hometown of Hip Hop and street culture. His sound is infected by NYC culture in the late 80ies, when early rap and the Latin Bronx culture mashed up, when old school Breakdance Music started to morph into early Dance Music and the Disco clubs were thriving. The Latinos met Afro-American culture and big new underground movements were born, which were the foundation of street style, fashion and music trends over the last years. ALOT the youngster, goes back to the origins and brings up his very own, super fresh, totally rocking proto-house rap in a Latino way.

Cody Currie & Kapote together in the studio! Delivering a 4 track EP that connects proto-disco, neo soul, Chicago house beats and jazz funk in a very spontaneous, super catchy way.
Cody, the London multi-talent musician, and Kapote, the Berlin-based creative head of Toy Tonics have a lot in common. Both come from studying jazz, knowing different instruments, having played in bands, and at the same time being DJs with a huge passion and the skill to rock thousands of people every weekend at the Toy Tonics Jams with a wild mix of different music. They have what we call THE VIBE. Soulful, catchy, intense. When they play records at a party and when they work on tracks. Both play keyboards, bass, guitar, and drums. Both sing. And both have funny nicknames that journalists gave them: Cody Currie was called “the Tom Misch of House music” and Kapote the “Wes Anderson of electronic music”. Makes us laugh but also fits well. And yes: Both are a bit crazy... like every extremely talented musician.
