After 2 first Eps in 2016 on Voxnox & ARTS [Digital], the young Berliner Talent Opål comes back on the new swiss Imprint Bipolar Disorder. The Silem EP shows Opål's ease to encompass both energetic, raving or deeper Techno style; main title "Silem" first takes the listener through a melodic journey made to warm up dancefloors, followed by the straight forward, dubbier "Capillaries". "Cadmium" injects acceleration again on the B-Side with a strong stomping bass, before to close on a more chill vibe, echoing the trancier style of vinyl's opening - with "Solar". A Digital Bonus (DL code inserted in pack) accompanies the Vinyl, showcasing a grittier, deeper aspect of the artist's productions. Never forcing the audience, Opål cares for atmospheres. His ability to experiment and blend genres insures him a unique signature in a driven, puristic, sometimes dubby or leaning toward raving, hypnotic style.

voxnox Records have steadily been pushing out their releases since our last encounter over a year ago. The latest offering features two originals from label regular Sept based in Poland, once again showing his superb dark and dirty, hypnotic funk on the Direction EP.

Joining the party with remixes are Michal Jablonski in Warsaw and Berliners I/Y who inject a little more energy and drive to proceedings, kicking things up a gear or two on their versions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the remix of “Script” by I/Y as they add a freaky atmosphere, loaded with a punchy bassline, cool effects and gritty edge. Altogether, this creates an organic, funky, forward-thinking ball of power, that will do plenty of damage with it’s moody makeup.

Tronus introduce us to their work with an unleashed vision of techno where technology drives the evolution from mechanics to intelligence, from alienation to emotion.

"Ater" EP mirrors the musical philosophy built up over the lives of A. Díaz and V. Quintana, shaped in a unique, intense and emotional sound, completed here with remixes by the selective, italian producer Vilix and another one by the  well-known Deepbass, both delivering emotional and intense work.

After a massive release on Chineurs de Techno, the young Polish producer BYLLY based in Szczecin(PL) delivers the 3rd Digital EP for the Swiss label Bipolar Disorder. Expressing his anger across, melodic landscapes & sligthly hypnotic sounds, each track brings its own imprint to form a coherent voyage. We're also really proud to have on board Opuswerk & Rommek who both delivered a smart and powerful remix.

BDd003 BYLLY- Mouth Full of Sand EP

Paris born Dj & Producer, Casual Treatment launched his project in the second part of 2015. Since then, he has been in constant search of new sounds and techniques, allowing him to release his music on different labels like Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Illegal Alien, Sonntag Morgen or Decoy Records.

He’s back today on Bipolar Disorder with « Silicate », composed of dark and hypnotics synth sequences as well as wild distorted percussions completed by three new interpretations of Splinter UA, Sarf and Eric Fetcher both delivered emotional and intense work.
The second track « Problematic Behavior » comes with filtered noise and modulated textures that keep the tension of the main acid synth.

"The press part"

Standard records are often too mediocre. The average track has been wrongfully given to much attention in order to achieve maximum income per release. Since digital music has been more available than ever, standards have been low as never seen before.

Some tracks are brilliant and special, others aren't worth it. Not even to get a digital format. Many tracks have been wrongfully given to much attention & have been falsely setting the tone for the new good. Good is not good enough!

We truly believe that music should be treated honestly and no one should lower the bar.
As a label, you should set an example. You should feel obligated to find the best mastering out there for your tracks. You should give honest feedback to new artists. You should define quality at the highest level possible.

We're extremely transparent in our communication in order to give you the most uncensored information about the other side of the music industry.

We aim to release the best we can get in our current time frame.
We don't settle with good enough. We're here to make a difference and help other to do so in any way we possibly can.

We want to transcend mediocre electronic music. We will do so in any way we can and help other people as well, in any format or any product possible. We happen to start with hypnotic & stripped down electronic music.

Orbis Records is probably one of those underground deep techno labels Belgium never had until now. The label will provide dark, deep and stripped down hypnotic techno music as wide as the box can get.

'Thinking outside the box is our priority' is possibly the most used sentence when it comes to label descriptions but we have no limits. Our priority is bringing deep, hypnotic and stripped down techno music that will please the partygoer as well as the record collector.

"The Orbis X sublabel"

Orbis X is a sublabel of Orbis Records and will be mainly focusing on softer yet often usable as DJ material for the broader mass interested in Electronic music. This sublabel is an extension of Orbis Records’ softer, more melodical and experimental side. Music will be ranging from house, dub, chicago over melodic acid and even breaks. Not any track makes it to this sublabel if it can't stand on its own and stand the test of time!

We aren't just another fish in the sea, not 'some' label that will release every week a load of crappy tracks to get that monthly cashflow. Instead we're scheduling our releases every 3 to up to 6 months (or maybe even more) depending on the time to find or create music that fits our vision.

It all stands and falls with the quality and character of the music in a wide perspective. Innovation, sound and emotion are the main driving forces behind our passion.

Music & artwork will be our #1 priority in order to move and touch all you collectors and fans of the deep & stripped sound out there !
